Temporary change on the Sydney to Grafton service

Due to planned major fleet maintenance premium coaches will run in place of the Sydney to Grafton train service. This is a temporary change to allow for major fleet maintenance under the XPT life extension project.

Two premium coach services will run in each direction, one express and one selected stops.

153 Sydney to Grafton - Selected stops
154 Grafton to Sydney - Selected stops

These coaches will not stop at all stations. Passengers travelling to stations not included in the coach timetable should catch an alternate train service or interchange to complete their journey.

Sydney to Brisbane and Sydney to Casino trains will still operate in both directions during this time and will stop at all stations that are not included in the premium coach timetable.

Normal train services are expected to return in April 2026.
