Bus industrial action may impact your travel across parts of Sydney

From Wednesday 4 November, bus passengers in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, lower North Shore and inner north-west should allow extra travel time and plan ahead, with industrial action potentially impacting services.

Buses are expected to continue to run, however industrial action may result in some services being delayed or cancelled due to notified work bans. Read the media release for further details on the industrial action.

Impacts may be felt across the Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, lower North Shore and inner north-west, as well as some services that start and finish in the Sydney CBD.

Passengers, including students sitting HSC and International Baccalaureate exams this week, are encouraged to leave extra time for travel and avoid busy periods where they can. Alternative travel options, including trains, ferries, light rail and roads, may also be busier than usual as passengers seek alternative travel options.

Plan ahead by checking transportnsw.info for the latest updates and download the Opal Travel app for real-time disruption information.

We will continue working closely with operators to minimise disruption and keep services running as smoothly as possible, including prioritising services for school students and keeping passengers informed.
