The new Trip Planner is here

A new version of Trip Planner is now available on transportnsw.info, making it easier to plan trips across NSW.

Every month, customers use transportnsw.info to plan more than 6 million trips. This update is designed to give customers more confidence and control when planning and travelling by public and active transport.

Before launch, customers were invited to try the new Trip Planner early and share their feedback. More than 1,000 pieces of feedback were received and used to make improvements before the full release.

What to expect

The new Trip Planner keeps the features you rely on, with updates to make planning faster and easier:

  • A refreshed design with quick access to key filters, including accessible services, trip preferences (such as fewer transfers or less walking), travel modes and Opal fare types
  • Clearer real-time information and disruption alerts, including delays, service updates and live vehicle tracking
  • Saved and recent trips and stops, making it easier to plan regular journeys
  • Easy comparison of public transport, walking, cycling and driving options, based on time, cost, comfort and accessibility.

The new Trip Planner will continue to improve, and your feedback helps shape future updates.
