Eden Whale Festival
The Eden Whale Festival is an annual event, highlighting the southern migration of the humpback and other whales. If you want to get up close and personal with these magnificent animals, there is no better place to be in Australia than Eden on the NSW south coast. The whales can be seen in large numbers in the town's stunning Twofold Bay, whether you are in a boat or, indeed, just from the shore.
The festival combines whale watching experiences while offering activities to entertain the whole family including a spectacular street parade, vibrant markets showcasing and selling the work of local artisans, great local food and wine, educational marine displays and presentations, quality children's entertainment, and live music.
NSW TrainLink Regional coaches run between Canberra and Eden. From Canberra, NSW Trainlink Regional trains and coaches connect to Sydney and most major centres. There are a number of bus and taxi services within Eden connecting to other towns on the Sapphire Coast and the Bega Valley.
