You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including trains, buses, ferries and light rail. There is also a Travel Cap of $2.80 on Sundays.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start running from the early morning. Change at Chatswood to connect with bus services towards Brookvale.

You can use your Opal card or accepted contactless payment method on Sydney Metro services.

The best stations for connections to Brookvale Oval are Chatswood, North Sydney and Wynyard. Change for a bus service running towards Warringah Mall or Brookvale.


Trackwork is taking place from 02:00 Saturday 31 August until 02:00 Monday 2 September and may affect how you travel to and from the event:

  • T1 Western Line: Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line and T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Liverpool.
  • T3 Bankstown Line: Some trains may run to a changed timetable. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line and South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur and East Hills.
  • Southern Highlands Line: Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown.

Plenty of Sydney Buses and Forest Coachline buses run frequently on weekends and stop at or near the stadium along Pittwater Rd including routes 146, 151, 169, 178, 180, 185, 188, 193 and 199. 

    B-Line services stop at Warringah Mall which is a short 850m walk along Pittwater Rd to Brookvale Oval.

    Sydney Ferries services are very popular and may reach capacity, especially on weekends. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F1 Manly service.

    Light rail services run between Central Station and Dulwich Hill with stops at popular CBD and Inner West destinations.

    Traffic may be heavier than normal on roads approaching Brookvale Oval including Pittwater Road, Old Pittwater Road, Warringah Road and Beacon Hill Road. If you are planning on driving, allow additional travel time.

    Limited parking is available in nearby schools, and there is limited parking in nearby streets. Attendees are encouraged to consider public transport options.
