Important travel advice

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

Drive with your group and use nearby local parking. Allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual as fans travel to and from the game. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com

When catching public transport, plan ahead and allow extra time. Trains run regularly to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line which is within walking distance of Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

It’s mandatory to wear a face mask when travelling on services in Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong areas from 5pm Thursday 6 May until 12.01am Monday 10 May. You can also check real-time capacity indicators when planning your trip or boarding services. Remember you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling to and from the event on public transport. Register your details via the Opal website or app ahead of time.

Additional measures and staff will be in place around transport hubs and the stadium to safely manage crowds arriving and leaving the game so please be patient, practise physical distancing while in queues and follow the directions of staff on site.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start from the early morning running every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping for trains to Central to connect with T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains to Carlton.

The closest station to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium is Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line. 

All express services to and from Cronulla will make an additional stop at Carlton between 2pm and 8pm to help get fans to the game and home afterwards. 

The 1:05pm Kiama to Central service will make an additional stop at Carlton, arriving 2:58pm.

After the match the 6:29pm Central to Kiama service will make an additional stop at Carlton, departing 6:45pm.

Trackwork

From 2am Saturday 8 May until 2am Monday 10 May trackwork is taking place on the following lines:

  • T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable - Check trackwork travel alerts for more detailed information 
  • T2 Inner West & South Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable - Check trackwork travel alerts for more detailed information 
  • T3 Bankstown Line: Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern, with extra trains running between Lidcombe and Lindfield via Sydenham.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line South Coast Line: Daily from 5.30am until 11am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Some trains start or end at Hurstville or Sutherland. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe. Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.
  • T5 Cumberland Line: Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.
  • T7 Olympic Park Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, then continue to Penrith or Leppington. If you are travelling to the City change at Lidcombe for trains via the T3 Bankstown Line. Buses replace all trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
  • T9 Northern Line: Extra trains run between Rhodes and the City Circle. 
  • Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Blacktown and Central. Trains from Blacktown towards Blue Mountains Line stations leave 30 minutes later than normal. Some trains between Bathurst and Lithgow also run to a changed timetable.
  • South Coast Line: Daily from 5.30am until 11am, some trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville. On Sunday from 12pm until 3pm trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Mortdale, Arncliffe and Sydenham.

Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. The closest bus stops to the Stadium are along the Princes Hwy at Kogarah Park.

Bus route 958 operates between Kogarah and Hurstville via Carss Park. Bus route 476 & 477 run to Gray St, Kogarah which is a short walk to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for a trains to Central for T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line trains to Carlton.

L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill. L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and the L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). 

From Central change for a train to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on the Princes Hwy approaching Kogarah as fans travel to and from the stadium. If you have to drive, allow extra travel time and plan to arrive early as parking will be in high demand.

Local roads around the stadium will close before kick off including Jubilee Avenue, Park Street and English Street. Roads will re-open once crowds have cleared the area

There is no parking available at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium. Parking is available nearby at Kogarah Town Square, Kogarah Town Centre, Hospital car park, Kogarah train station and Carlton Train Station. Visit Georges River Council website for nearby parking locations and details.
