Trains run regularly to Wollongong on the South Coast Line, which is within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Weekend trackwork is taking place 4-5 February on the Metro North West Line with buses replacing services between Tallawong and Chatswood.

Catch rail replacement buses to Epping to connect with train services to the city for trains to Wollongong.

The closest station to WIN Entertainment Centre is Wollongong on the South Coast Line. 

The venue is approximately 15 minutes' walk from the station via Burelli Street. Alternatively, you can catch the free Gong Shuttle from Crown Street which stops near the stadium.

Trackwork

Weekend trackwork is taking place from 2am Saturday 4 February until 2am Monday 6 February on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner:

  • T1 North Shore: Buses replace T1 North Shore Line trains between Hornsby and Wynyard.
  • T1 Western Line: Most trains run between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, due to T1 North Shore Line trackwork. Richmond trains start and end at Olympic Park. You may need to change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey. On Saturday from 3.40pm until 2.30am trains run between Penrith and the City Circle.
  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Homebush trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Extra trains also run between Ashfield and the City, continuing to Kingsgrove via the Airport
  • T3 Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Sydenham. Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping all stations to Lidcombe and the City Circle.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Daily from 8am to 8pm, extra trains run between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.
  • T5 Cumberland Line: On Sunday from 5.30am to 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. From 9.40am to 11.30am Sunday, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville, and between Schofields and Olympic Park.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Extra trains run between Kingsgrove and the City via the Airport, continuing to Ashfield
  • T9 Northern Line: Most trains run between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, due to T1 North Shore Line trackwork. On Saturday from 3.40pm until 2.30am trains run between Berowra or Hornsby and the City Circle.
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: On Sunday from 12.20am to 6am and from 9.20pm to 1am, buses replace some trains between Gosford and Hornsby. Trains run between Newcastle Interchange and Gosford, and between Hornsby and Central, some to a changed timetable.

Regular bus routes stop within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre, including routes 1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 39, 90 and 92.

A number of regular bus routes make stops along Corrimal Street and Burelli Street to get you within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre.

You can also catch a 'Free Gong Shuttle' (routes 55A and 55C) that operates regularly on weekdays and the weekend. The shuttle runs in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus. L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Fridays. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using Trip Planner.

Traffic may be heavier than normal in the area on roads approaching Wollongong CBD and on local roads around WIN Entertainment Centre as fans travel to the event so allow additional travel time.

Fans travelling to the game on the freeway are encouraged to use the Masters Road exit to avoid congestion at Mount Ousley Road, both in and out of Wollongong.
