Important Travel Advice

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip, leave the car at home and catch public transport as on-site parking will be very limited.

Frequent light rail and buses run to Moore Park within short walking distance of the stadium and travel on transport is included in your ticket to the game.

Be aware that a music festival is taking place at Centennial Park next door and will be finishing around the same time as the A-League match with road closures in place from 8pm for crowd safety. Light rail services will be busy and there may be additional delays exiting from car parks during this time, follow directions of traffic controllers and allow extra time.

After the game, dedicated event shuttle buses will run from Moore Park back to Central, A-League fans are encouraged to use these buses if light rail queues are long. If you’re travelling to Randwick or Kingsford please follow the direction of transport staff and Police at the Light Rail stop.

Please note weekend trackwork may affect your trip on various lines including the T1 North Shore Line between Hornsby and Wynyard, plan ahead and allow additional travel time as you may need to catch rail replacement buses to continue your trip to the city.

If you have to drive, carpool with your group and arrive early as parking in the precinct will be limited and special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect on roads in the area.

Nearby parking will be available at the Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park, EP3 grass car park on Driver Avenue and Sydney Boys & Girls High car park off Cleveland Street. A flat rate event parking fee will apply.

If you're getting picked up or catching taxis and rideshare home be aware that access into the precinct will be affected by road closures on Moore Park Rd and Lang Rd. Access to the Entertainment Quarter will be via Oatley Rd, Renny St, Gordon St and Cook Rd only. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Match Ticket Entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to Sydney FC 2023/24 season home games at Allianz Stadium include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services – just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:

  • Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
  • Sydney Metro North West services
  • Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
  • Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services
  • Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.

Tickets to Sydney FC games at Allianz Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Real-time parking availability allows you to see how many vacant car park spaces are available at Transport Park&Ride car parks.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Due to planned maintenance all Metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood will be replaced by buses.  Please note weekend trackwork will also affect T1 North Shore Line services between Hornsby and Wynyard.

Catch replacement buses to Epping to connect with trains to the city then light rail to Moore Park.

The closest stations to Allianz Stadium are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central catch a light rail service to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Foveaux Street or Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 435KB) to find your way.

From Bondi Junction catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.

Trackwork

Weekend trackwork is taking place from 2am Saturday 2 December to 2am Monday 4 December on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

  • Metro North West: Buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood. Buses also replace T1 North Shore Line trains between Hornsby and Wynyard, change at Epping for trains to Central or Hornsby.
  • City Circle: Trains will not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard. For travel around the City use the light rail between Central and Circular Quay, or local bus services. T4 Eastern Suburbs Line trains continue to run between Central and Bondi Junction, stopping at Town Hall, Martin Place and Kings Cross.
  • T1 North Shore Line: Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard. T9 Northern Line trains run between Berowra or Hornsby and Central. Trains will not run between Wynyard and Central, or on the City Circle. Buses also replace metro services between Chatswood and Tallawong.
  • T1 Western Line: Penrith trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, making extra stops at Flemington, Homebush and Burwood. Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only, change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City. Trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line and City Circle may also affect how you travel.
  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Buses replace Inner West Line trains between Strathfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park only. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey towards Central. T1 Western Line Penrith trains make extra stops at Flemington, Homebush and Burwood. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel.
  • T3 Bankstown Line: Trains run between Liverpool or Lidcombe and Sydenham only, some to a changed timetable. T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, with some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Daily from 8am to 8pm, extra trains run between Hurstville and Bondi Junction. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel.
  • T5 Cumberland Line: Early morning and late-night trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only. Change at Granville to continue your journey. Trains between Schofields and Liverpool continue to run to the normal timetable.
  • T7 Olympic Park Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, continuing to Richmond or Leppington.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Revesby trains run between Revesby and Central via the Airport. Most Macarthur trains run between Macarthur and Sydenham only. Change trains at Revesby if you are travelling to Airport stations. T4 Illawarra Line trains run between Sydenham and the City. Trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel.
  • T9 Northern Line: From 10.50pm Friday, trains run between Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12. Saturday and Sunday, trains run between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, some to a changed timetable. Trackwork on the Metro North West, T1 North Shore and City Circle may also affect how you travel.
  • Blue Mountains Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
  • South Coast Line: From 3pm Friday, buses replace trains between Bomaderry, Kiama and Wollongong. Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Bondi Junction, to the normal timetable. Buses do not run to the train timetable. If you are connecting with trains at Wollongong you may need to catch an earlier bus to ensure you meet your train connection.
  • Southern Highlands Line: On Saturday, from 10am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Campbelltown and Moss Vale.

Event shuttle buses

Dedicated event shuttle buses will run from Moore Park back to Central after the match, A-League fans are encouraged to use these buses if light rail queues are long. 

If you're travelling to Randwick / Kingsford please follow the direction of transport staff and Police at the Light Rail stop.

Regular route buses

A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339 and 374. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road within short walking distance of the stadium.

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for a light rail service to Moore Park on the L2 and L3 lines.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Fridays. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.

From Central change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade, just south of the stadium. Additional light rail services will run before and after the game.

Keep in mind that services will be busy after the match as festivalgoers also leave nearby Centennial Parklands at the same time. Allow extra time, be patient and follow directions of staff on site.

If you're travelling towards the city consider catching the dedicated event shuttle buses to Central Station leaving from the Moore Park bus interchange opposite the SCG.

Moore Park – from 8pm to midnight

  • ​​Driver Avenue between ​Lang Road​ and ​the NRL Building (both directions)
    • Note: a section of Driver Avenue will already be closed from 5:45pm
  • ​​Lang Road* between Anzac Parade and ​Errol Flynn Boulevard (eastbound)
  • Lang Road between Erroly Flynn Boulevard and Driver Avenue (westbound)
  • Lang Road** between Oxford Street and Mitchell Street (both directions)
  • Moore Park Road between Oxford Street and Cook Road (westbound)

*Vehicles will be allowed to exit EP3 car park and turn right on to Lang Road to join Anzac Parade. 
**Managed access to/from the Entertainment Quarter via Oatley Road, Renny Street and Cook Road.

Moore Park – from 9pm to midnight

  • Moore Park Road between Oatley Road and Oxford Street (eastbound)

Moore Park – 12:01am to 4am daily on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December

  • Driver Avenue between Lang Road and the southern turning circle (both directions)

Cycleway closures: The Moore Park Road cycleway will be closed between Regent Street and Oatley Road outside the stadium from 9pm to 10.30pm

If you’re using rideshare to get to or from the match, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for pick up and drop off locations.

Moore Park Car Parks

Limited parking will be available at the following car parks near the stadium.

Please follow the directions of electronic message boards advising which car parks have capacity when arriving in the precinct.

  • Entertainment Quarter (parking rates apply): Open 24 hours. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road.  
  • Showground Field (EP3) grass car park (cashless, flat rate parking fees apply): Car Park open 4:45pm. Entry via the southern end of Driver Avenue, from Lang Road. 
    • Exit from EP3 car park will be managed while roads are closed, please follow directions on the night from Police and Traffic Controllers
  • Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School (parking fees apply): Car Park open from around 4:45pm. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the stadium.

Please note: Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park will not be open for this game.

Special Event Clearways

Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and Centennial Park, check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed.

24 hour from 12:01am to 11:59pm: Driver Avenue between Lang Road and Moore Park Road (both sides)

From 6am to midnight: ​​Cleveland Street between ​South Dowling Street​ and ​City Road (both sides)

From 11am to midnight:

  • Lang Road​ between ​Anzac Parade​ and ​Cook Road (both sides)
  • Oxford Street between Queen Street and Victoria Avenue (eastbound)
  • Oxford Street between Queen Street and George Street (westbound)

From 3pm until midnight on sections of Lang Road, Fitzroy Street, Moore Park Road, Albion Street, Flinders Street and Foveaux Street.

Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types, and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
