Event Ticket Entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to State of Origin Game I at Accor Stadium include travel to and from Sydney Olympic Park on the following public transport services – just show your event ticket to Transport staff when boarding services: 

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
• Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses
• Sydney Metro North West services.
• Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.

Tickets to State of Origin Game I include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start from the early morning running every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping for trains towards Strathfield to connect with express services to Olympic Park.

Alternatively, connect with a Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Bus at the following Metro stations to get to the match:

• Route 1A: Chatswood and North Ryde stations
• Route 1B: Macquarie Park Station
• Route 5A: Hills Showground and Castle Hill stations
• Route 5B: Tallawong, Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Burns, Bella Vista and Norwest stations

Commuter Car Parks

Consider parking your car at commuter carparks at Metro North West stations and connecting with Major Event Buses Route 5A or 5B to Olympic Park.

Large commuter carparks are located at the following stations:

• Tallawong – 1000 spaces
• Kellyville – 1360 spaces
• Bella Vista – 800 spaces
• Hills Showground – 600 spaces
• Cherrybrook – 400 spaces

The closest station to Accor Stadium is Olympic Park. From the station, it’s a short 10-minute walk via Olympic Boulevarde to the stadium. 

Express trains to Olympic Park will run from Central and Western Line stations with frequent services after the match to get you home.

Travel on trains is included in your match ticket, simply show your ticket to staff when boarding services.

Getting there:

• From Central: special express trains will run at 3:30pm, 3:45pm, 4pm and 4:10pm and then every 7 to 8 minutes from 4:45pm stopping at Redfern, Strathfield then Olympic Park.
• Trains also run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.
• From Blacktown and Schofields: Special event trains will leave Blacktown at 5:46pm, and Schofields at 6pm and 6:29pm stopping all stations to Seven Hills, all stations to Granville, Clyde, Auburn and then Olympic Park.
• From Campbelltown: Special event trains will leave Campbelltown at 6:02pm and Macarthur at 6:21pm, stopping all stations to Granville, Auburn and Olympic Park. An extra service will leave Campbelltown at 6:44pm via Granville stopping all stations to Cabramatta, Fairfield, Merrylands, Granville, Auburn and Olympic Park.
• From Liverpool:  An additional service will leave Liverpool at 6:08pm stopping all stations to Granville, Auburn and Olympic Park.
• Central Coast Line: Additional services will leave Gosford at 4:23pm and 5:16pm stopping at all stations to Berowra, Hornsby, Strathfield and Central.
• Blue Mountains Line: Trains will make an additional stop at Lidcombe between 5pm and 10pm.

Getting Home

• To Central: express trains will leave Olympic Park every 5 minutes from 10pm to 1am, stopping at Strathfield, Redfern then Central.
• To the west (Blacktown, Schofields and Penrith): trains will leave Olympic Park every 7 to 8 minutes from 10pm until 12:30am stopping at Lidcombe, Granville, Parramatta, Westmead and Seven Hills, then all stations to Blacktown, Schofields or Penrith.
• To Macarthur: additional services will leave Lidcombe at 10:52pm, 11:23pm and 11:53pm stopping at Auburn, Granville then all stations to Macarthur.
• To Central Coast: Additional services will leave Central at 10:16pm and 11:16pm stopping at Strathfield, Epping, Hornsby Berowra then all stations to Newcastle Interchange.
• Hunter Line: An additional service will leave Newcastle Interchange at 1:26am stopping all stations to Telarah.
• Blue Mountains Line: trains will make an additional stop at Lidcombe between 10:30pm and 12:45am.
• South Coast Line: Additional services will leave Central at 10:53pm and 11:53pm stopping at Redfern, Wolli Creek, Hurstville, Sutherland, Waterfall and all stations to Kiama. An additional service will leave Bondi Junction at 12:37am stopping at Redfern, Wolli Creek, Hurstville, Sutherland, Helensburgh, Thirroul, North Wollongong and Wollongong.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run on all nine routes from the Northern Beaches, Inner West, Sutherland Shire, North Western Suburbs, Hills District and Southern Suburbs for the State of Origin Game I.  

Travel on these Major Event Buses is included in your match ticket, simply show your ticket to staff when boarding services. 

Service Times

• To Olympic Park: services will run every 5 to 20 minutes between 3:40pm and 6:50pm, depending on the route. Buses will arrive at the precinct from around 5:30pm until 7:45pm.
  • Route 1A from Narrabeen Lakes: first bus departs at 3:42pm, last bus departs at 5:57pm.
  • Route 1B from Warriewood B-Line: first bus departs at 3:47pm, last bus departs at 6:02pm.
  • Route 2 from Glebe Point: first bus departs at 4:15pm, last bus departs at 6:30pm.
  • Route 4 from Maroubra Beach: first bus departs at 3:55pm, last bus departs at 6:10pm.
  • Route 5A from Hills Showground Station: first bus departs at 4:33pm, last bus departs at 6:48pm.
  • Route 5B from Tallawong Station: first bus departs at 4:18pm, last bus departs at 6:30pm.
  • Route 6 from Sutherland Station: first bus departs at 4:18pm last bus departs at 6:33pm.
  • Route 7 from Shark Park Cronulla: first bus departs at 4pm, last bus departs at 6:15pm.
  • Route 8 from Dural: first bus departs at 4:33pm, last bus departs at 6:48pm.
• From Olympic Park: services will leave Olympic Park approximately every 5 minutes after the match, with the last bus on each route leaving the precinct by 11:15pm.

Routes 1A, 1B, 2 and 4 drop-off and pick-up from the Aquatic Terminal on Olympic Boulevarde near Herb Elliott Avenue.

Routes 5A, 5B, 6, 7 and 8 drop-off and pick-up from the Plaza Terminal on Olympic Boulevarde near Kevin Coombs Avenue, opposite Qudos Bank Arena.

Major Event Bus Routes

Search your bus route number at routes and timetables for full timetable details and stop locations. Please note service times will be affected by traffic conditions on the day. For real-time bus service disruptions check travel alerts.

Note: Wheelchair accessible buses will travel on each route, you can also see accessible services in the Trip Planner identified by the wheelchair icon.

Regular Route Buses

The following Sydney Buses services run to Sydney Olympic Park:

• Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park. 
• Route 526 runs from Rhodes to Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf
• Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes and North Ryde.

Bus Diversions

Route 525, 526 and 533  services will be diverting due to road closures within Sydney Olympic Park. Stops on Dawn Fraser Avenue will be missed. Catch services from stops on Park Street at Olympic Park train station or other alternative stop locations on Edwin Flack Avenue. Check signs at stops for details.

The closest wharf to Qudos Bank Arena is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity – particularly during peak travel times or when multiple events are taking place within the precinct. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

F3 Parramatta River ferries between Parramatta and Rydalmere may be affected by low tide and replaced by buses, check for updates here.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park, running regularly from mid-afternoon.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Change at Central for express trains to Olympic Park, running regularly from mid-afternoon.

With around 80,000 fans expected ticketholders are urged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid getting caught in traffic delays. Travel on transport is included in match tickets.

• Attendees must pre-book parking online to secure a space. Parking will be in high demand and is expected to sell out in advance so secure your ticket now. There will be no casual parking on site available. Do not drive if you have not pre-booked a parking spot.
• Visit Sydney Olympic Park Prebook to secure your parking space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.  A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.

• If you have pre-booked your parking, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout
• Alternatively, consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing the trip to Olympic Park by train as frequent additional services will run.

Allow plenty of additional travel time on the M4 Motorway, Homebush Bay Drive, Concord Road, Silverwater Road, Ryde Road, Lane Cove Road and Epping Road.

If you're getting dropped off/picked up or catching rideshare and taxis:

• Remember that roads will be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the area before and after the match.  
• After the match, demand for taxis and rideshare will be high and prices are likely to be surging. Avoid the traffic delays while roads are closed by considering catching a train or bus outside of the precinct to connect with your ride faster.
• Taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Ave.

Keep in mind that Sydney Olympic Park Authority will close local roads in the precinct and traffic congestion is expected before and after the game. From 9pm Wednesday 5 June to 3am on Thursday 6 June

• Edwin Flack Ave from Pondage Link to Old Hill Link (westbound)

• The nearest Taxi rank to Accor Stadium is on Herb Elliott Avenue at Park Street. From 8pm to midnight the taxi rank will be managed by Taxi Commissionaires personnel to help traffic flow.

Be aware after the match, traffic will be very heavy as everyone leaves at the same time, so expect to allow up to an hour additional travel time exiting car parks. Avoid the delays leaving carparks and enjoy many of the venues in the precinct that will stay open after the match.

Train Station Commuter Parking

A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then catching one of the extra trains to Olympic Park.

Stations with large car parks on the western line where you can change for a frequent direct train to Olympic Park include:

• T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Rooty Hill, St Marys, Emu Plains and Penrith.

Stations with large car parks on other train lines that require one interchange by train to get to Olympic Park include:

• T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
• T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
