Match Ticket Entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to Sydney Swans 2024 season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground includes travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations) 
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses 
• Sydney Metro North West services 
• Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services 
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries 

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.

Tickets to Sydney Swans AFL matches at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park, so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start from the early morning and run every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping or Chatswood for a train to the city to connect with light rail services to Moore Park.

Please note that trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel. If you are travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for trains to Central.

The closest stations to the SCG are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central, catch a light rail service to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.

Please note if you’re travelling from the North Shore that planned weekend trackwork may affect your trip. Buses replace T1 North Shore Line trains between Hornsby and Wynyard. T9 Northern Line trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield. Allow extra travel time as you will need to connect with rail replacement buses to continue your trip to the city. 

Trackwork

Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Sunday 28 July on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

• City Circle: Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. Some trains may start or end at Central, run to a changed timetable or leave from different platforms. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. The light rail runs in both directions between Circular Quay and Central. 
• T1 North Shore Line: Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard. T9 Northern Line trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield. Trackwork also affects trains on the City Circle. From Wynyard, trains run towards Town Hall and Central only. The light rail runs in both directions between Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central. 
• T1 Western Line: Trains run between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, only. Richmond trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Olympic Park only. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City. 
• T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: From 5.20am to 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. 
• T3 Bankstown Line: Trains run between Liverpool or Lidcombe and Redfern only, some to a changed timetable. Change trains at Redfern to continue your journey. 
• T4 Eastern Suburbs Line: From 6.30am to 12.15pm, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Some trains start or end at Hurstville or Sutherland. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Trains may leave from different platforms, please check indicator screens before boarding. From 1pm to 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe. Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek. T8 Airport & South Line trains to and from the City continue to stop at Wolli Creek. 
• T5 Cumberland Line: From 5.20am to 10.30am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, and between Richmond or Schofields and Olympic Park. You may need to change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. From 10.30am to 11.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville, and between Schofields and Olympic Park. You may need to change trains at Granville to continue your journey. 
• T7 Olympic Park Line: Extra trains run between Olympic Park and Richmond.  
• T8 Airport & South Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Revesby trains run between Revesby and Central only. Most Macarthur trains from the City run via Sydenham. Trains to the City run via the Airport. Early morning and late evening trains run via the Airport but start and end at Central, platform 23. 
• T9 Northern Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, only. 
• Blue Mountains Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork affecting trains between Strathfield and Central. 
• Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork affecting trains between Strathfield and Central. 
• South Coast Line: From 6.30am to 12.15pm, some trains make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville. From 1pm to 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but will make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham. Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek. 

Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.

After the match, express shuttle buses will also run from Moore Park to Central to provide additional transport capacity for fans.

Keep in mind that buses and light rail services will be busy and queues are expected. Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to minimise wait times for transport services. L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. 

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time particularly when leaving the stadium.

Consider using alternative transport between Central Station and Moore Park, including walking if able to (25 min walk approximately) or regular bus services, as light rail services will be very busy. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

If you have to drive, carpool with your group and allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual as fans travel to and from the match. Fans are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid traffic delays. 

Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 12:30pm before the match and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area.

No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas maintained from Lang Road.  

To support the Moore Park Road pop up cycleway, there is no left-turn permitted from Lang Road onto Moore Park Road westbound. Motorists can use Cook Road for access onto Moore Park Road instead.

The closest taxi rank is located on Errol Flynn Boulevard (near the Hordern Pavilion).

If you’re using rideshare to get to the game, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for drop off locations. After the game, there may be restrictions on rideshare pick up locations due to heavy traffic in the area. You’ll need to select a pick-up location away from the stadium.

Moore Park Car Parks

Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group if you have to drive and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space.

Parking will be available at the following car parks near the stadium:

• Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road. 
• Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park (limited capacity due to upgrade works): Open from 12:30pm. Entry via the northern end of Driver Ave from Moore Park Road. 
• Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 12:30pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road. 
• Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Car park open from around 12:30pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the SCG.

Special Event Clearways

Special event clearways will be in effect on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 11am to 8pm on sections of Albion St, Fitzroy St and Moore Park Rd, and from 6am to 8pm on Cleveland St.

From 6am to 8pm

• Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side)
• Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side)

From 11am to 8pm

• Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides) 
• Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side) 
• Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side) 
• Moore Park Road between Cook Road and Poate Road (southern side) 

Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
