Important travel advice

Attendees are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

The closest station to the Motorsport Park is Blacktown. From the station, an event shuttle will connect you to Sydney Motorsport Park.

Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time. Shuttle bus trips are included with your event ticket.

If you're driving, allow extra travel time as traffic will be heavier than usual across the weekend. Arrive early to avoid the delays and secure a car space. Limited parking will be available onsite at Sydney Motorsport Park – access via Gate D on Ferrers Road.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start from the early morning running every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping to connect with trains towards Blacktown.

The closest station to Sydney Motorsport Park is Blacktown. From there, you can catch a shuttle bus to the event.

Station shuttle buses:

  • Friday: Shuttle buses will leave Blacktown Interchange Stand J every hour from 9.30am to 6.30pm. Return buses to Blacktown Interchange will leave Sydney Motorsport Park (Gate C) every hour from 10am to 7pm.
  • Saturday: Shuttle buses will leave Blacktown Interchange Stand J every hour from 10am to 8pm, then every 30-minutes until 10.30pm. Return buses to Blacktown Interchange will leave Sydney Motorsport Park (Gate C) every hour from 10.30am to 7.30pm, then every 30-minuted until 11pm. 
  • Sunday: Shuttle buses will leave Blacktown Interchange Stand J every hour from 8.30am to 6.30pm. Return buses to Blacktown Interchange will leave Sydney Motorsport Park (Gate C) every hour from 9am to 7pm.

Trackwork

Planned trackwork is taking place throughout the event and may affect how you travel. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

Weekday – Friday 19 July

  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: On Friday, buses replace the 1.47am Central to Newcastle Interchange service from Central to Hornsby.

Weekend – Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July

  • T1 North Shore Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
  • T1 Western Line: Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield. Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Olympic Park. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City. On Saturday from 9pm to 2am, trains from Penrith run to the City via Bankstown, to a changed timetable. Trains from the City to Penrith continue to run via Strathfield. Buses replace trains from Strathfield to Central, in that direction only.
  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Inner West trains will not run. T1 Western and T9 Northern Line trains make extra stops at some stations between Homebush and Central. Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Strathfield via Granville, making an extra stop at Homebush. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. On Saturday from 9pm to 2am, express buses replace trains from Strathfield to Central, in that direction only. All-stations buses replace trains from Ashfield to Central. T9 Northern Line trains run between Strathfield and Ashfield. All-stations and limited stop trains continue to run from the City to Strathfield, in that direction only.
  • T3 Bankstown Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: On Saturday from 4am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.
  • T9 Northern Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at all stations between Ashfield and Macdonaldtown. On Saturday from 9pm to 2am, buses replace trains from Ashfield to Central, in that direction only. Trains run to a changed timetable between Hornsby and Ashfield. Change at Strathfield for express buses to Central or change at Ashfield for buses stopping all-stations towards Central. Trains continue to run from the City to Hornsby via Strathfield, in that direction only.
  • Blue Mountains Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. On Saturday from 9pm to 2am, most trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Parramatta only. Change trains to continue your journey. Trackwork between Strathfield and Central may also affect how you travel.
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. On Saturday from 9pm to 2am, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Buses replace trains from Strathfield to Central, in that direction only. Trains continue to run from Central to Strathfield, in that direction only. Change at Strathfield to continue your journey.
  • South Coast Line: On Saturday from 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction. On Sunday from 2.30am to 9.50am, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. The 2.39am Kiama to Bondi Junction service will run up to 14 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Kiama to Coniston, then run to the normal timetable from Wollongong to Bondi Junction.

Station Shuttle buses

A free shuttle bus will run between Blacktown Interchange Stand J and Sydney Motorsport Park (Gate C) for event ticketholders throughout the event. Keep in mind that shuttle buses are limited so allow extra travel time. For more information, visit Sydney SuperNight.

Regular route buses

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for a train service towards Blacktown.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, connect with a train service towards Blacktown.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, connect with a train service towards Blacktown.

Delays are expected on roads approaching Eastern Creek, including on the M7 Motorway, M4 Western Motorway, Great Western Highway, Ferrers Road, Wallgrove Road, Prospect Highway and Reservoir Road as crowds travel to and from the event. Allow plenty of extra travel time and follow signs for parking.

Limited free parking will be available at Sydney Motorsport Park. Access is via Gate D, off Ferrers Road.  

Attendees should plan to arrive early and carpool where possible as parking will be in high demand and is expected to fill early.

Attendees driving to the event should allow plenty of extra travel time as parking is expected to be in high demand.

Limited parking is available at Sydney Motorsport Park:

  • Trackside prepaid parking for pre-purchased ticket holders only – access via Gate B, off Peter Brock Drive.
  • General public free parking at Sydney Dragway can be accessed via Gate D, off Ferrers Road.
  • Limited accessible parking is available via Gate AA .

Roadside parking is not allowed along the shoulders of Ferrers Road, adjacent to Sydney Motorsport Park, between Brabham Drive and Chandos Road.
