Important Travel Advice

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

Trains run regularly to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line and from there the stadium is a short 10-minute walk away.

Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.

Traffic is expected to be heavy in both directions on the Princes Highway approaching Kogarah as crowds travel to and from the stadium. If you have to drive, allow extra travel time and plan to arrive early. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Local roads around the stadium will close ahead of kick-off, including Jubilee Avenue, Park Street and English Street. Roads will re-open once crowds have cleared the area. 

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.  

From Sunday 4 August 2024, six new Sydney Metro stations will open, and turn-up-and-go metro services will extend from Chatswood through the Sydney CBD to Sydenham on the M1 Line.  

Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.  

Change at Central to connect with Sydney Trains T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line services to Carlton. 

Please note that Trackwork on the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line may affect how you travel. Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place. Change at Gadigal for express buses to Bondi Junction and Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or trains towards Cronulla and Waterfall.

The closest station to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium is Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line. The stadium is a short 10-minute walk from the station.   

To help you get to and from the match, the following trains will make an extra stop at Carlton:  

  • All T4 Illawarra Line trains between 6pm and 11pm.  
  • The 5.47pm Wollongong to Bondi Junction train.  
  • The 9.13pm Bondi Junction to Kiama train.  

Trackwork

Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Saturday 10 August on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner:  

  • Metro M1 Line: Trackwork on the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line may affect how you travel. Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place. Change at Gadigal for express buses to Bondi Junction and Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or trains towards Cronulla and Waterfall.  
  • T1 Western Line: Richmond trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Olympic Park. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall or Cronulla and North Sydney. Change at Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or metro services to Martin Place. Change at Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place Station. 
  • South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.Trains run between South Coast Line stations and Central, platforms 1-12. Change at Central for buses to Kings Cross, Edgecliff or Bondi Junction, or metro services to Martin Place. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place Station

The closest bus stops to the Stadium are along the Princes Highway at Kogarah Park.

Bus route 958 operates between Kogarah and Hurstville via Carss Park. Bus route 476 and 477 run to Gray Street, Kogarah, which is a short walk to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a train to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a train to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line.

There is no parking available at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium. There are various car parks within easy walking distance of Carlton and Kogarah Stations:

  • Kogarah Town Square, entry via Derby Street
  • Kogarah Town Centre, entry via ramp from Railway Parade
  • Hospital car park, entry via South Street
  • Kogarah Station commuter car park, entry via Station Street
  • Carlton Station commuter car park, entry via Railway Parade

There is a limited number of accessible parking spots located on Park Street. Patrons are required to display their parking permit in their window at all times. Please visit the stadium website for more details on booking accessible parking spaces.
