NRL Finals Week 2: Roosters v Sea Eagles

Valid pre-purchased tickets to the NRL Finals Series at Allianz Stadium include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding: 

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations) 
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses 
• Sydney Metro services 
• Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services 
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries 

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.

Tickets to the NRL Finals Series  at Allianz Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night. 

Please note that due to planned weekend trackwork, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood. Metro continues to run between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham.

Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park from Chalmers Street.

The closest stations to Allianz Stadium are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central, catch a light rail service to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.

Trackwork

Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 21 September on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

• M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: Buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood. Metro continues to run between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham. T9 Northern and Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains run to the normal timetable between Epping and Central.
• T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Buses also replace T8 Airport & South Line trains between Glenfield and Sydenham. Trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur and the City via Granville or Regents Park. Inner West trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, or between Homebush and the City.
• T3 Bankstown Line from Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 September: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe, Bankstown and Campsie. Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, and between Campsie and the City, some to a changed timetable.   • If travelling between the City and Birrong, Yagoona or Bankstown, catch a train to Lidcombe, then change for a bus.
  • If travelling between the City and Berala, Regents Park, Sefton, Chester Hill, Leightonfield, Villawood or Carramar, catch a direct train. 
• T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Schofields or Richmond.
• T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham. Change at Sydenham for train or metro services to the City, or change at Wolli Creek for trains to the Airport. Trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur and the City via Granville or Regents Park, and between Turrella and the City Circle via the Airport. 

Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.

After the match, express shuttle buses will also run from Moore Park to Central to provide additional transport capacity for fans.

Keep in mind that buses and light rail services will be busy and queues are expected. Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to minimise wait times for transport services. L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. 

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of Allianz Stadium.

Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time particularly when leaving the stadium.

Ticketholders are urged to catch public transport to avoid traffic delays as attendees travel to events in the precinct during heavy peak traffic.

If you have to drive, expect long delays on roads aound the precinct travelling to and from the match. Carpool with your group and plan to arrive early as parking will be in high demand. 

Changed traffic conditions

• Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 5.30pm and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area.
• No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas maintained from Lang Road.  
• Due to the Moore Park Road pop up cycleway, there is no left-turn permitted from Lang Road onto Moore Park Road westbound. Motorists can use Cook Road for access onto Moore Park Road instead.  

Private coaches and limousines

During events, private coaches, limousines or vehicles over 6m in length should access Driver Avenue via Lang Road (NOT Moore Park Road). Driver Avenue is closed mid-block during events making it difficult for long vehicles to turn around in the northern end of Driver Avenue to exit. Buses/coaches may also park in the southern end of Driver Ave if space is available.

The closest taxi rank is located on Errol Flynn Boulevard (near the Hordern Pavilion).

If you’re using rideshare to get to the game, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for drop off locations. After the game, there may be restrictions on rideshare pick up locations due to heavy traffic in the area. You’ll need to select a pick-up location away from the stadium.

Moore Park Car Parks

Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group and arrive early to secure a parking space.

Parking will be available at the following car parks near the stadium:

• Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road. 
• Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 4.50pm, Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road. 
• Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Open from around 4.45pm, Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the stadium. 

Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park will not be open for this match.

Special Event Clearways

Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 6am to midnight on sections of Cleveland Street and from 3pm to midnight on sections of Albion Street, Fitzroy Street and Moore Park Road. 

From 6am to midnight 

• Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side) 
• Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side)

From 3pm to midnight

• Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides) 
• Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side) 
• Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side) 
• Moore Park Road between Cook Road and Poate Road (southern side)
• Moore Park Road from approx. 80m west of Oatley Road to approx. 75m east of Oatley Road (northern side)

Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
