Attendees are encouraged to use public transport to travel to the event. If you are planning on driving, expect delays and allow additional travel time with large crowds and road closures in the area for the festival.
The closest station to the Lunar New Year celebrations on Forest Road is Hurstville on the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line. The festival is a short walk from the station.

Planned trackwork is taking place on Saturday 1 February on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro Line: Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood. Metro services run between Chatswood and Sydenham.
- T1 Western Line: From 8am to 12pm, Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Liverpool. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 8am to 12pm, trains run to a changed timetable and frequency between Leppington and the City via Granville or Regents Park. Inner West trains also run to a changed timetable and frequency. Some T9 Northen Line trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 8am to 12pm, trains run to a changed timetable and frequency between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. Inner West trains also run to a changed timetable and frequency. Some T9 Northen Line trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla or Waterfall and Sydenham, and between Central and Bondi Junction. Metro services run between Sydenham and the City.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central. Metro services run between Sydenham and the City. Trains run between Macarthur, Revesby and the City via the Airport, some to a changed timetable. Trackwork on the T4 and South Coast lines may also affect how you travel. Change at Wolli Creek for trains towards T4 Illawarra and South Coast line stations.
- T9 Northern Line: From 8am to 12pm, some trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.
- Hunter Line: From 8.50pm to 2.20am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Telarah. From 10pm to 3.30am, buses replace trains from Telarah to Newcastle Interchange.
- South Coast Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between South Coast Line stations and Hurstville only. Change trains at Hurstville to continue your journey. Trackwork also affects T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains between Sydenham and Central.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Fridays. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Traffic is expected to be heavy on roads approaching the area throughout the day. Attendees are encouraged to catch public transport as parking will be limited. If you have to drive, expect delays and allow additional travel time.
Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time as traffic will be heavier than usual on roads in the area including King Georges Rd, Queens Rd and Railway Pde during the event.

There is no designated event parking for the festival. Council car parks are expected to fill quickly on the day and street parking is limited in the area. Consider the public transport options instead or arrive early if you have to drive.
A temporary taxi zone will be operating on Woodville Street at Crofts Avenue for the duration of the event.
