Important Travel Advice

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.  

The closest station to the stadium is Gosford on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. The stadium is a short walk from the station.   

Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.

If you’re driving, travel with your group and use nearby local parking. Allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual as fans travel to and from the match. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions livetraffic.com.  

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late. 

Change at Epping or Central to connect with Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains to Gosford.

The closest station to polytec Stadium is Gosford on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. From the station, the stadium is a short walk away via Showground Road and Dane Drive. 

Trackwork 

Planned trackwork is taking place on Sunday 19 October on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner

  • M1 Metro Line: Buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Castle Hill. Metro services run between Castle Hill and Sydenham only. 
  • City Circle: Trains do not run to Museum, St James or Circular Quay but continue to run between Central, Town Hall and Wynyard. Light rail services run between Central and Circular Quay. If you are travelling to Circular Quay, change at Wynyard for the light rail or walk. If you are travelling to Museum or St James, change at Central or Town Hall for local buses or walk. 
  • T1 Western Line: Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Central, platforms 1-14. Some early morning and late night Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Liverpool. Trains do not run around the City Circle. Use light rail or local bus services to travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum. From 7:40am to 8:30pm, buses replace trains between Emu Plains and St Marys. Trains run to a changed timetable between St Marys and the City. Buses also replace trains on the Blue Mountains Line.
  • T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between: Macarthur and Central, platforms 1-14 via Granville, Liverpool and North Sydney via Regents Park, and  Homebush and North Sydney. Trains do not run around the City Circle. Use light rail or local bus services to travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum. Leppington trains will not stop at Ashfield. You may need to change at Strathfield to continue your journey. T9 trains make an extra stop at Ashfield. 
  • T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Liverpool and North Sydney via Regents Park. Trains do not run around the City Circle. Use light rail or local bus services to travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum.  
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. If travelling to the Airport change at Central or Sydenham for a bus, not Wolli Creek. Buses replace T8 trains. Trains do not run around the City Circle. Use light rail or local bus services to travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum. 
  • T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Trains run between Liverpool and Schofields or Richmond, some to a changed timetable. Change trains at Liverpool to continue your journey towards Glenfield.
  • T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes. 
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield, Sydenham and Central via the Airport. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Macarthur and Central, platforms 1-14 via Granville, and between Sydenham and Bondi Junction. Change at Central for trains to T4 or South Coast Line stations, not Wolli Creek. Trains do not run around the City Circle. Use light rail or local bus services to travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum. 
  • T9 Northern Line: Trains make an extra stop at Ashfield. 
  • Blue Mountains Line: Daily from 3am to 8pm, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Penrith. Daily from 3am to 10pm, buses replace trains from Penrith to Lithgow. Bathurst trains run to a changed timetable between Bathurst and Lithgow only. The 20:24 Central to Lithgow will be the first train to run towards Lithgow. The 19:48 Lithgow to Central will be the first train to run towards the City. From 7:40am to 8:30pm, buses also replace trains between Penrith and St Marys. T1 trains run between Penrith or St Marys and the City, some to a changed timetable.

Route buses 19, 21, 22, 23, 64 and 67 run towards Central Coast Stadium and stop near the stadium.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

At Central, change to a metro service to Epping or a train service to Strathfield to connect with a Central Coast & Newcastle Line train to Gosford

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). At Central, change to a metro service to Epping or a train service to Strathfield to connect with a Central Coast & Newcastle Line train to Gosford

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Epping or Central to connect with Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains to Gosford.    

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the stadium as fans travel to and from the stadium. Allow extra travel time and use local parking.  

Dane Drive will be closed before the match from xpm between the Central Coast Highway and Donnison Street and will reopen once crowds have cleared the area.

  • Baker Street Car Park (P1) is approximately 100m away.  
  • Free parking is available 300m away at Gosford Train Station (P2).
