Important Travel Advice
RÜFÜS DU SOL ticketholders are urged to plan ahead as the Olympic Park precinct will be busy with multiple events being held across different venues.
On Friday, 70,000 AC/DC fans will also travel to the precinct for a concert next door at Accor Stadium. On Saturday, the precinct will be busy with multiple events at neighbouring venues and trackwork will also be taking place.
Transport
- On Thursday, trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe. On Friday, express trains will be running from Central and key Western Line station for the AC/DC show. On Saturday, trackwork is taking place with buses replacing trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
- You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
Driving
- If you have to drive, travel with your group and pre-book your parking online – available until 11:59pm the night before the event.
- If you have pre-booked parking, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow extra travel time. Significant delays are expected on roads approaching the precinct, particularly on Thursday and Friday during the already busy evening peak. - After the show, traffic will be very heavy as everyone leaves at the same time. Expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
- You can also consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park. You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport.
- If you're getting dropped off or catching rideshare, taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue. Allow plenty of extra travel time on the roads.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
Change at Epping or Central for trains towards Lidcombe then replacement buses to Olympic Park.
Weekend trackwork - Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November
- Metro services will not run on the entire line. Buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use trains between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham
- If you are travelling to the Saturday concert, You may need to catch a replacement bus to connect with train services towards Olympic Park. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Friday 21 November
- Additional express trains will run to Olympic Park for the AC/DC concert at Accor Stadium that RÜFÜS DU SOL ticketholders can also take advantage of.
- Olympic Park services run every 10 minutes until 10.30pm. After the concert, additional services will run to Blacktown and Penrith from 10:30pm until 1:00am, stopping at Lidcombe, Granville, Parramatta, Westmead, Seven Hills then all stations to its destination.
Saturday 22 November
- Due to planned trackwork, buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Olympic Park. If you’re travelling from the west trains will run direct to Olympic Park.
- If you’re travelling from the city/east, you will need to a catch train to Strathfield then change for a replacement bus to Lidcombe where you can connect with a train to Olympic Park. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

Thursday 20 November
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 9.50pm to 2.30am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Hurstville. Trains run between Waterfall or Cronulla and Sutherland, and between Hurstville and Bondi Junction, to a changed timetable. South Coast Line trains continue to run between Sutherland and Hurstville.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 8.30pm to 2am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Wyong. From 9pm to 3.30am, buses replace trains from Wyong to Newcastle Interchange. Buses towards Wyong may leave up to 60 minutes earlier than the normal train timetable. Trains run between Wyong and Central, some to a changed timetable.
- Hunter Line: Buses replace trains between Scone and Maitland. Trains between Dungog, Maitland and Newcastle Interchange may run to a changed timetable. From 10pm to 1am, some trains run up to 20 minutes later than the normal timetable.
Friday 21 November
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 3.40pm to 11pm, Inner West trains run between the City and Homebush only, not Parramatta. You may need to change trains to continue your journey
- T9 Northern Line: From 4pm to 7.30pm, some trains between Hornsby, Epping and Central run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency.
- Blue Mountains Line: The 16:54 Central to Katoomba service will not run
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: The 16:47 Central to Newcastle Interchange service will not run.
Saturday 22 November
- M1 Metro Line: Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use trains between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Olympic Park. Change at Lidcombe for buses towards Strathfield. Trackwork buses do not leave from Olympic Park. Richmond trains run between Richmond and Liverpool. Change trains to continue your journey towards the City.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville and between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Change at Lidcombe for buses towards Strathfield. Replacement buses do not leave from Olympic Park. You can also change at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Strathfield and T1 North Shore Line stations. You may need to change services to continue your journey. Trains to the City do not stop at Croydon or Ashfield. Buses run from Strathfield to Ashfield, stopping at all stations, in that direction only. Trains from the City stop at Ashfield and Croydon. Inner West trains run between Ashfield and the City Circle only.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Lidcombe. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Strathfield and T1 North Shore Line stations. You may need to change services to continue your journey. Trains to the City do not stop at Croydon or Ashfield. Buses run from Strathfield to Ashfield, stopping at all stations, in that direction only. Trains from the City stop at Ashfield and Croydon. Inner West trains run between Ashfield and the City Circle only.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 6.30am to 12.15pm, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Some trains start or end at Hurstville or Sutherland, and you may need to change trains. Trains may leave from different platforms, check indicator screens before boarding.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes,
- T7 Olympic Park Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, continuing to Penrith or Leppington.
- Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Change at Penrith for express buses to Strathfield. T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith, Blacktown and Olympic Park. Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains from Blacktown run to Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than normal. Bathurst trains run to a changed timetable between Bathurst and Lithgow only, some to a changed timetable. Change trains at Lithgow to continue your journey.
- South Coast Line: From 6.30am to 12.15pm, some trains make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville.

The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.
Bus Diversions
On Friday 21 November, Route 525, 526, and 533 services will divert and miss stops while road closures are in place. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

The closest wharf to Qudos Bank Arena is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park but services are popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you're planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Planned Maintenance - Saturday 15 to Friday 21 November inclusive
- L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line light rail services will not run between Circular Quay and Town Hall. Use Trains or Metro services instead.
- Services will continue to run between Town Hall and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford.
- Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the show, particularly during the busy evening peak. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
Significant delays are expected on Friday 21 November as 70,000 fans also travel to the precinct for the AC/DC concert taking place next door at Accor Stadium. Ticketholders are urged to consider the public transport options available to avoid getting caught in traffic delays.

To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.
