Trains run regularly to Wollongong on the South Coast Line, and the venue is only a short walk away.
You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the Wollongong CBD and on local roads around WIN Entertainment Centre as fans travel to and from the match. Local roads around the venue may close to help crowds move safely around the area. Plan to arrive early and allow extra travel time. Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
Change at Central to connect with South Coast Line services to Wollongong.

The closest station to WIN Entertainment Centre is Wollongong on the South Coast Line.
The venue is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the station via Burelli Street. Alternatively, you can catch the free Gong Shuttle from Crown Street, which stops near the venue.

- M1 North West & Bankstown Line: Metro services run between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use trains between Chatswood or Epping, the City and Sydenham. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern. Train trackwork on the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line may also affect how you travel. - T1 Western Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Fairfield. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City. Penrith trains make extra stops at Flemington and Burwood.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via the Airport, and between Fairfield and Richmond. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City via Granville. Inner West trains run between Homebush or Ashfield and the City. From 9.40pm to 2am, buses also replace trains between Leppington and East Hills. Trains run between East Hills and the City, to a changed timetable.
- T3 Liverpool and Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Trains run between Lidcombe and the City, to a changed timetable and frequency. Inner West trains run between Homebush or Ashfield and the City. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Buses also replace trains between Macarthur, Liverpool and Fairfield and T6 trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Waterfall and North Sydney, with some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Metro services do not run between Sydenham and Chatswood. Change at: Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place station. - T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Glenfield, and between Fairfield and Schofields or Richmond. From 9.40pm to 2am, buses also replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe. Buses also replace T3 trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Change at: Lidcombe for T1 trains towards the City or Parramatta, Regents Park for T3 buses towards Cabramatta or Bankstown for Southwest Link bus services towards Sydenham
- T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington or Revesby and the City via the Airport. T8 trains between Sydenham and the City Circle do not run. T4 trains run between Sydenham and North Sydney, with some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. From 9.40pm to 2am, buses also replace trains between Leppington and East Hills. Trains run between East Hills and the City, to a changed timetable.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Saturday from 5.30am to 11am, at Hawkesbury River and Cowan, all trains leave from platform 2. From 7am to 11.30am, trains towards Hornsby do not stop at Cowan. Buses run from Hawkesbury River to Cowan, and from Cowan to Berowra, in that direction only. Change at Hawkesbury River for a bus to Cowan. From Cowan, catch a bus to Berowra then change for a train to continue your journey. Trains towards Gosford continue to stop at Cowan.
- South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. Trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and the City Circle. Change at: Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place. Metro services do not run between Sydenham and Chatswood. From 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and North Sydney.
- Southern Highlands Line: Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Glenfield. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. T8 trains run to a changed timetable between Glenfield and the City via the Airport. From 9.40pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Moss Vale and East Hills. T8 trains run between East Hills and the City via the Airport.

Regular bus routes stop within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre, including routes 3, 8, 10, 11, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 39, 90 and 92.
A number of regular bus routes make stops along Corrimal Street and Burelli Street to get you within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre.
You can also catch a 'Free Gong Shuttle' (routes 55A and 55C) that operates regularly on weekdays and the weekend. The shuttle runs in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus.
Hours of operation are:
- Weekdays: 7am to 6pm every 10 minutes, 6pm to 10pm every 20 minutes
- Saturdays: 9am to 5.20pm every 20 minutes
- Sundays & Public Holidays: 9.40am to 5.20pm up to 20 minute frequency

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and catch a train service from Parramatta Station to Redfern or Central where you can connect with South Coast Line services to Wollongong.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.
