With over 40,000 footy fans expected at the annual Anzac Day clash, attendees are urged to catch public transport and leave the car at home.

Transport

  • Travel on public transport is included in your ticket to the game. Simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services
  • Trains and metro services run regularly to the city where you can catch frequent light rail services to and from Moore Park. Regular route buses also stop along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street.
  • Additional light rail services will run before and after the match. The Moore Park light rail stop is located a short walk from Allianz Stadium.
  • Make a day of it and arrive early and enjoy local venues before heading into the match.
  • Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to avoid the queues for transport services before and after the match. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.

Driving

  • Expect delays on roads approaching the precinct as fans travel to and from the match. Roads throughout the Sydney CBD will be closed until 3pm for the annual Anzac Day Dawn Service and March. Allow plenty of extra travel time as detour routes may have heavy traffic. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
  • Carpool with your group and arrive early to secure parking; spaces will be in high demand and car parks will fill quickly. Grass car parks on Driver Avenue will open from 1pm and fees apply.
  • Limited parking is available near Allianz Stadium at the Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park, Sydney Boys High School, Sydney Girls High School and Moore Park Golf Course. A flat rate event parking fee will apply. Have a back-up plan in case car parks are full when you arrive.
  • Special event clearway parking restrictions will also be in effect, make street parking very limited around Allianz Stadium. Check signs carefully when parking to avoid being towed.
  • If you are getting dropped off or picked up, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for drop-offs, and Errol Flynn Boulevard for pick-ups. Alternatively, a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone will be located on Moore Park Road at Oatley Road. To avoid traffic delays, consider other locations further away and then walking to the stadium.
