Fans are encouraged to plan ahead and consider all the available travel options. Match tickets include travel on public transport.
Trains and buses run regularly to Parramatta Station, where you can connect with light rail services from Parramatta Square to the Prince Alfred Square stop and walk to CommBank Stadium via Victoria Road. Alternatively, it's a 15-minute walk from the station. Some buses also make stops outside the stadium on O’Connell Street. Please note that buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville on the T1 Western and T5 Cumberland lines. T2 Leppington Line trains will still operate between Leppington and the City. Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as fans travel to the match. Allow extra travel time, you can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Roads around the stadium will close (pdf 270KB) after the game from 5.50pm until 6.20pm to allow crowds to safely leave the precinct. Bus stops outside the stadium will be closed and buses will use different stops nearby. Check signs and follow directions of staff.
Traffic will also be heavy following the match as everyone leaves car parks at the same time. Be patient and follow the directions of traffic controllers and Police. If you’re travelling home by taxi or rideshare, choose a pick-up location away from the stadium to avoid traffic delays.
Match Ticket Entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to 2026 NRL season home games at CommBank Stadium include travel to and from CommBank Stadium on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to 2026 NRL season home games at CommBank Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.
If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
Change at Central for a train service to Parramatta. Alternatively change at Epping for a bus, or for a train service to Strathfield to connect with trains to Parramatta.

M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Planned Trackwork – Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 April
- Metro services will not operate between Sydenham and Chatswood
- Use train services between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham
- For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses
- Metro services run between Tallawong and Chatswood.

Planned trackwork is taking place on Sunday 19 April on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: Metro services will not operate between Sydenham and Chatswood. Use train services between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses. Metro services run between Tallawong and Chatswood.
- T1 North Shore Line: Sydney Metro trackwork may affect how you travel.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Granville and the City. Buses also run between some T1 Western Line stations and Tallawong. From 2pm to 8pm, trains run to a changed timetable between Parramatta and the City. Buses continue to run between Penrith, Richmond and Granville.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction, but do not stop at Martin Place. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Waterfall and the City Circle, with some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Change at: Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff or Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. From Martin Place Station, buses leave from nearby bus stops, or you can walk to Wynyard Station for trains to T4 Illawarra Line station. Metro trackwork may affect how you travel.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Granville. T2 trains run to the normal timetable between Leppington and the City.
- T9 Northern Line: Metro trackwork may affect how you travel
- Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith and Granville. T1 trains run between Granville and the City. Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains stations run up to 45 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains run between Bathurst and Lithgow only, some to a changed timetable. The 07:40 Bathurst to Central and 17:51 Central to Bathurst services will run between Bathurst and Penrith only, to a changed timetable. From 2pm to 8pm, T1 trains run between Parramatta and the City. Buses continue to run between Penrith and Granville.
- Hunter Line: Buses replace the following trains: 09:59 Newcastle Interchange to Telarah, 11:01 Telarah to Newcastle Interchange. From 11.25pm to 1.15am buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Telarah.
- South Coast Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and Hurstville only. T4 Illawarra Line trains run to a changed timetable between Hurstville and the City Circle. Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction, but do not stop at Martin Place. Change at: Hurstville for T4 trains towards the City, Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff or Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. From Martin Place Station, buses leave from nearby bus stops, or you can walk to Wynyard Station for trains to T4 Illawarra Line stations. Metro trackwork may affect how you travel. From 7.30am to 11.30am, at Helensburgh and Otford, all trains leave from platform 1. From 12pm to 4pm, at Otford and Helensburgh, all trains leave from platform 2.
- Southern Highlands Line: From 4.40am to 5.30pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown. T8 Airport & South Line trains run between Campbelltown and the City via the Airport. The 16:05 Moss Vale to Campbelltown trains will continue to run, leaving Moss Vale at 16:49 and run up to 44 minutes later than the normal timetable.

Regular route buses
A number of buses run to and from Parramatta Interchange, where you can connect with light rail services from Parramatta Square to Prince Alfred Square stop and walk to CommBank Stadium via Victoria Road. Alternatively, it's a 15-minute walk from the station via Church Street and Victoria Road. See the CommBank Stadium transport and walking route map (pdf 270KB) to find your way.
Alternatively, buses leave regularly from Stand A4 at Parramatta Interchange and make stops on O’Connell Street outside the stadium. These routes include 546, 600, 601, 603, 604, 606 and 706. All bus services are accessible.
Bus diversions
Roads around the stadium will close from 5.50pm until 6.20pm to allow crowds to leave the precinct safely, including sections of O’Connell Street, Ross Street and Victoria Road.
The following bus stops will be closed and routes 546, 549, 550, 600, 601 and 606 will be diverting while the road closures are in place. See the CommBank Stadium road closure map (pdf 270KB) for more details and alternative bus stop locations:
- Parramatta Leagues Club, O'Connell St (2150150) – alternative stop O'Connell St opp Harold St (215142) for services towards the Hills and North West
- Our Lady of Mercy College, O'Connell St (2150152) – alternative stop O'Connell St at Fennell St (2150151) for services towards Parramatta Station)
- Victoria Rd opp Prince Alfred Square (2150108) – alternative stop Victoria Rd opp All Saints Anglican Church (215089) for services towards Parramatta Station
- Prince Alfred Square, Victoria Rd (2150110) – alternative stop All Saints' Anglican Church, Victoria Rd (215088) for services towards the Hills, Epping and Macquarie Park
Note: Victoria Road opp All Saints Anglican Church is open for services towards Central/Railway Square via Ryde.

The closest wharf to CommBank Stadium is Parramatta Wharf.
From the wharf, connect with light rail services to Prince Alfred Square to get within walking distance of CommBank Stadium.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Parramatta but services are popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.
L1 Dulwich Hill Line
Due to planned maintenance L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services will not operate on Saturday 18 April. Replacement buses run between Central and Dulwich Hill. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Change at Central to connect with T1 Western Line trains towards Parramatta to get within walking distance of the stadium.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Note: due to planned maintenance L2 and L3 services will not run between Circular Quay and Central on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April. Use trains instead.

If you’re driving to the game, plan to arrive early as car parks in the area are expected to be in high demand. Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the stadium. Allow extra travel time on roads including Parramatta Road, Church Street, Victoria Road, James Ruse Drive and Pennant Hills Road.
Motorists should also exercise caution as pedestrian activity will be high on roads between Parramatta Interchange and the stadium.
Drivers are reminded that light rail services are running through Parramatta CBD. Trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so exercise extra caution when driving in the area.
Road closures
Roads around the stadium will close from 5.50pm until 6.20pm to allow crowds to safely leave the venue. Roads will re-open once crowds have cleared the area.
- O’Connell Street from Grose Street to George Street
- Ross Street from O’Connell Street to Trott Street
- Victoria Road from O’Connell Street to Villiers Street
While closures are in place motorists are encouraged to avoid driving through Parramatta CBD and detour around the closures via Grose Street, Brickfield Street, Victoria Road and Wilde Avenue in both directions. See our road closure and transport map (pdf 270KB) for more details.

Parramatta car parks
Fans driving to the game should allow plenty of extra travel as parking is expected to be in high demand.
The following car parks are within walking distance of the stadium. There's no public parking available on-site at CommBank Stadium on game days:
- Eat Street Car Park, entry via George Street
- Justice Precinct Car Park, entry via Hunter Street
- Parramatta Station Car Park, entry via Wentworth Street

Attendees with mobility impairments or accessibility requirements can catch one of the regular route bus services that leave from bus stand A4 at Parramatta Interchange and make stops on O’Connell Street outside the stadium, including routes 600, 601, 603, 604, 606 and 706.
