Match ticket entitlements 

Valid pre-purchased tickets to the 2026 GWS Giants AFL season at ENGIE Stadium include travel to and from Olympic Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding: 

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
• Sydney Metro services
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
• Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.  

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements. 

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks 

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services. 

Tickets to 2026 GWS Giants AFL season at ENGIE Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket. 

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham running from early morning until late. 

At Epping, connect with trains towards Strathfield, Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

Train trackwork on the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line may affect how you travel. Buses replace trains between Bondi Junction and Central, but do not stop at Martin Place.  

If travelling to T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line stations change at:

• Gadigal for express buses from Town Hall to Bondi Junction  
• Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or trains to T4 Illawarra Line stations

The closest station to ENGIE Stadium is Olympic Park.  

Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.   

Please note that trackwork may affect how you travel towards Olympic Park from the west: 

• Buses replace trains between Emu Plains, Richmond and Parramatta on the T1 Western Line.
• Buses also replace trains between Bathurst and Parramatta on the Blue Mountains Line. Allow extra travel time and plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Trackwork 

Planned trackwork is taking place on Sunday 16 August on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner. 

• T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Emu Plains, Richmond and Parramatta. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Parramatta and the City.
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Leppington trains make extra stops at Homebush and Croydon. T1 Western Line trains make an extra stop at Burwood.
• T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe only. You may need to change services to continue your journey.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction, but do not stop at Martin Place. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Waterfall, and the City Circle, with some making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Change at Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or at Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. From Martin Place Station, use metro services, local buses, or walk to Wynyard Station for trains to T4 Illawarra Line stations. 
• T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Parramatta. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Parramatta or Leppington and the City via Granville. You may need to change services to continue your journey. 
• T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
• T8 Airport & South Line: Trains between Sydenham and the City Circle run to a changed timetable. Trains via the Airport run to the normal timetable.
• Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Bathurst and Parramatta. T1 Western Line trains run to a changed timetable between Parramatta and the City.
• South Coast Line: Most trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and Hurstville only. T4 Illawarra Line trains run to a changed timetable between Hurstville and the City Circle. Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction, but do not stop at Martin Place. Change at Hurstville for T4 trains towards the City; Central for buses to Kings Cross and Edgecliff, or at Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction.  From Martin Place Station, use the metro, local buses, or walk to Wynyard Station for trains to T4 Illawarra Line stations.

The following route buses run towards Olympic Park:

• Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Lidcombe, change for trains to continue your trip to Olympic Park.
• Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf. 
• Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to ENGIE Stadium is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf. 

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available. 

F3 Parramatta River ferries may be affected by low tide between Parramatta and Rydalmere and replaced by buses. Check for updates here.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

Due to planned weekend trackwork and maintenance, buses replace all L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August.

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. 

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Due to planned weekend trackwork and maintenance, L2 and L3 light rail services will not run between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August. Use trains or local buses instead.

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park. 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from events. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road. 

If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.  

Consider catching public transport or parking at a nearby station commuter carpark and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park to avoid traffic delays. Match tickets include travel on public transport.  

Road Closures

Sydney Olympic Park Authority may close some local roads to accommodate increased public transport services and ensure pedestrian safety during events. For road closure details, visit the Sydney Olympic Park interactive map for more details.

The nearest Taxi Rank is on Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman Hotel.

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads may be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct before and after the game.

When leaving, choose a pick-up location away from the immediate area around the stadium to avoid delays.

Parking

Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the match, available until 11.59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior. A flat rate $40 parking fee will apply. Pre-booking parking is highly recommended with multiple events taking place across the precinct. 

If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. 

If you haven’t pre-booked, follow the variable message signs within Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking.  

Train Station Commuter Parking  

A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then continuing your journey by train to Olympic Park.  

• T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Rooty Hill, St Marys, Emu Plains and Penrith.
• T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
• T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
