Important event information

Olympic Park will be busy on Friday night as crowds travel to an A-League game and Kevin Hart's first show at neighbouring venues at around the same time. Traffic will be already heavy in Friday evening peak so fans are encouraged to catch public transport or allow plenty of extra travel time if you have to drive.

Sydney Olympic Park will be busy on Saturday 8 December as well as the precinct will host up to 100,000 people attending multiple events in neighbouring venues including Bon Jovi at ANZ Stadium, Kevin Hart at Qudos Bank Arena and 'Knockout' indoor music festival at Sydney Showground.

Kevin Hart fans are encouraged to take advantage of the additional trains running to Olympic Park and leave the car at home as traffic will be heavy and car parks will fill quickly. Fans are reminded they will need to tap on and off these services with a valid Opal card.

If you have to drive you will need to pre-book parking to guarantee yourself a space as car parks will be in high demand.

The closest station to Qudos Bank Arena is Olympic Park.

Friday getting there & home

Additional limited stop services will run to Olympic Park from:

  • Blacktown at 17:46, stopping at Seven Hills, Westmead, Parramatta, Granville then Olympic Park.
  • St Marys at 18:26, stopping all stations to Blacktown, then Seven Hills, Westmead, Parramatta, Granville then Olympic Park.

Alternatively, catch a train to Lidcombe for a direct service to Olympic Park from Platform Zero running every 10 minutes until 00:30.

Saturday

Take advantage of the extra trains to Olympic Park running for the Bon Jovi concert on Saturday. Additional return services will run from Olympic Park, Lidcombe and Central to get you home after the show.

Getting there

  • From Central express trains will run to Olympic Park, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield,  every 10 minutes from 17:00 until 18:00, then every 7 to 8 minutes from 18:00 until 22:00.
  • From Blacktown express trains will run to Olympic Park every 30 minutes from 17:00 until 22:00, stopping at Seven Hills, Parramatta, Granville, Lidcombe then Olympic Park.
  • Blue Mountains Line services will make an additional stop at Lidcombe between 17:00 and 20:00, and between 22:00 and 01:00.
  • Alternatively, catch a train to Lidcombe for a direct service to Olympic Park from Platform Zero running every 10 minutes until 22:00, then every 20 minutes until 01:00.

Getting Home

  • To Central: express services will leave Olympic Park, stopping at Strathfield and Redfern, every 7 to 8 minutes from 22:00 until 23:00, then every 5 minutes until midnight. After midnight services will run every 7 to 8 minutes until 01:00.
  • To Blacktown: express services will leave Olympic Park every 10 minutes from 22:00 until 00:30, stopping at Lidcombe, Granville, Parramatta, Seven Hills then Blacktown. Services every 30 minutes will extend to Schofields and Penrith. Change at Lidcombe to connect with all-stops Western Line, Inner West or Bankstown services.
  • To Leppington leaving Lidcombe at 23:52, stopping at Auburn, Granville and then all stations to Leppington.
  • To Sydenham leaving Lidcombe at 00:37, stopping all stations via Bankstown to Sydenham.
  • An additional train to Newcastle Interchange will leave Central at 23:18, stopping at Strathfield, Epping, Hornsby and then all stations to Newcastle Interchange (except Wondabyne).
  • Blue Mountains Line services will make an additional stop at Lidcombe between 17:00 and 20:00, and between 22:00 and 01:00.

Trackwork

Trackwork is taking place between 02:00 Saturday 8 December and 02:00 Monday 10 December and may affect how you travel to and from the event:

  • T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central. Trains run to a change timetable between Bondi Junction and Central.
  • T5 Cumberland Line: On Friday night only (7 December), from 19:00 until 01:30 some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Blacktown or Granville, and between Granville and Leppington. 
  • T6 Carlingford Line: On Friday night only (7 December), from 20:00 until 01:30 buses replace trains between Clyde and Carlingford. 
  • South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Dapto and Central, and between Port Kembla and Wollongong.  Trains run to a changed timetable between Bombaderry and Dapto.

To note: As of Sunday 30 September, the Epping to Chatswood rail line has temporarily closed for upgrades for around 7 months before Sydney Metro Northwest services begin in 2019. The new high-frequency bus service, Station Link, replaces trains between Epping and Chatswood. For more information on Station Link, visit transportnsw.info.

The following Sydney Buses services run to Olympic Park:

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Route 526 runs from the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf to Olympic Park.

Sydney Ferries services are very popular and may reach capacity especially on weekends. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Use the Trip Planner and consider the alternative public transport options available.

Qudos Bank Arena is around a 40 minute walk (3.6km) from Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue.

Due to low tide some ferry services to and from Parramatta wharf may be replaced by buses. See Parramatta Ferry low tide for the full calendar of ferry replacement services.

Note: From Wednesday 3 October, Rydalmere Wharf will be closed for around 5 months for upgrade works. A temporary bus service, Route 535, will run between Parramatta Wharf and Sydney Olympic Park Wharf via Rydalmere Wharf to connect with F3 Parramatta River ferry services. Light rail services run between Central Station and Dulwich Hill with stops at popular CBD and Inner West destinations. Change at Central to connect with express trains to Olympic Park.

Heavy traffic is expected on roads approaching the precinct including the M4 Mwy, Homebush Bay Dr, Concord Rd, Lane Cove Rd, Epping Rd, Centenary Dr, Ryde Rd and Silverwater Rd. Car parks are expected to fill quickly. Fans are strongly encouraged to leave the car at home. If you have to drive you'll need to pre-book parking, allow plenty of extra travel time and carpool where possible.
