You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including trains, buses, ferries and light rail. There is also a Travel Cap of $2.80 on Sundays.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled debit or credit card or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on metro, train, light rail and ferry services, and coming soon to bus services, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start running from the early morning. Change at Epping to connect with train services towards Campbelltown.

On Sunday to Wednesday nights until late 2019, the late night North West Night Bus service will run frequent all-stops and limited stops services from Tallawong at 9.25pm and from Chatswood at 10.10pm while Sydney Metro grows to full operations.

The closest station to Campbelltown Sports Stadium is Leumeah on the T8 Airport & South Line. The station is a short 100m walk from the stadium.

After the game, from 10pm, trackwork is taking place on the T8 Airport & South Line between Glenfield and Revesby, if you’re travelling on the T8 Airport Line you’ll need to catch a rail replacement bus from Glenfield to Revesby to continue your journey by train, or change at Glenfield for T5 Cumberland Line or T2 Leppington Line services.


Weeknight trackwork is taking place on Wednesday 28 August and may affect how you travel to and from the game:

  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 21:45 until 01:30, buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. And from 22:15 until 01:30, buses replace trains between Bondi Junction and Central.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: From 22:00 until 01:00, buses replace trains between Glenfield and Revesby. Trains run between Macarthur and Glenfield, some to a changes timetable.  
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 21:50 until 03:00, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Broadmeadow.
  • Hunter Line: From 22:15 until 02:30, buses replace trains between Broadmeadow and Newcastle Interchange. From 22:15 until 00:30, buses replace the 22:18, 23:18 and 00:18 trains from Newcastle Interchange to Waratah.

Busabout bus services operate in the Campbelltown and Macarthur region. Regular routes 870, 871, 872, 879 and 881 stop within walking distance of the stadium.

Light rail services run between Central Station and Dulwich Hill with stops at popular CBD and Inner West destinations. Change at Central to connect with T8 Airport & South Line trains towards Leumeah.

Traffic is expected to be heavier than usual on roads approaching Campbelltown Stadium as fans travel to and from the game.
