Valid pre-purchased match tickets to the Rugby League Test Match include travel to and from WIN Stadium in Wollongong on the following public transport services:
- Sydney train services (bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney Metro services
- Special event shuttle buses
Remember to keep your ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on public transport until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.
Metro services start running from the early morning. Change at Epping or Chatswood to connect with trains services towards Wollongong.
Last services from Chatswood to Tallawong leave at 12.45am on Thursday nights and at 1.45am on Friday and Saturday nights.
The closest station to WIN Stadium is Wollongong on the South Coast Line. The stadium is approximately a 15 minute walk from the station via Burelli Street.
Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. Trackwork may affect how you travel so allow extra travel time and plan ahead.
Event shuttle buses
Special event shuttle buses will run between Wollongong Station and WIN Stadium every 10 minutes from 3:40pm until 7:40pm. Buses will pick up patrons from Station St at Wollongong Train Station and drop off on Crown St.
Return event shuttle bus services: Special event shuttle buses will run between WIN Stadium and Wollongong Station from approximately 9:45pm until 11:00pm.
Buses will pick up patrons from Crown Street, adjacent to the WIN Entertainment Centre and drop off at Station Street Wollongong Station.
Don't forget to show your match ticket when boarding event shuttle buses.
Regular route buses
A number of regular bus routes make stops along Corrimal St and Burelli St to get you within walking distance of WIN Stadium.
You can also catch a 'Free Gong Shuttle' (routes 55A and 55C) that operates every 10 minutes from 7am until 6pm, then every 20 minutes from 6pm until 10pm on Fridays. The shuttle runs in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus. Traffic will be heavy on Burelli St, Corrimal St, Stewart St and Crown St as crowds travel to the game during the already busy Friday evening peak.
Roads around the stadium will be closed from 2:30pm until 10:30pm including Harbour St between Stewart St and Crown St, and Burelli St between Corrimal St and Harbour St.
Motorists should expect delays and follow directions from traffic controllers on site.
Pick up and drop off locations are available at:
- Burelli Street between Corrimal and Harbour Street (eastbound)
- Crown Street between Harbour Street and Marine Drive (westbound)
