Important travel advice

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

When catching public transport, plan ahead, allow extra time and sit or stand on the green dots. You can also check real-time capacity indicators when planning your trip or boarding services.

Trains run regularly to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line which is within walking distance of Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

Remember it’s mandatory to wear a face mask when travelling on public transport. You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling to and from the event. Register your details via the Opal website or app ahead of time.

If you’re driving, travel with your group and use nearby local parking. Allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual, you can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com

Additional measures and staff will be in place around transport hubs and the stadium to safely manage crowds arriving and leaving the event so please be patient, practise physical distancing while in queues and follow the directions of staff on site.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Metro services start from the early morning running every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping for trains to Central to connect with T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains to Carlton.

The closest station to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium is Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line.  

All express services will make an additional stop at Carlton between 6:15pm and 11:15pm to help fans get to and from the game.

Trackwork

Weeknight Trackwork is taking place Wednesday 8 December on the following lines which may affect your travel to the event:

  • City Circle: From 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. If you are travelling from Town Hall or Wynyard to Circular Quay you can catch the light rail.
  • T1 North Shore Line: From 9.50pm until 3.30am, buses replace Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains between Hornsby and Berowra.
  • T2 Inner West & South Line: From 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. 
  • T3 Bankstown Line: From 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 10.50pm until 2.40am, buses replace trains between Sutherland and Hurstville.Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall or Cronulla and Sutherland, and between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: From 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 22/23, due to trackwork on the City Circle.
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 9.50pm until 3.30am, buses replace trains from Hornsby to Gosford. From 10.10pm until 3.30am, buses replace trains from Gosford to Hornsby.  Trains run between Newcastle interchange and Gosford, and between Hornsby and Central, some to a changed timetable.
  • Hunter Line: Buses replace the following trains between Maitland and Muswellbrook.

The closest bus stops to the Stadium are along the Princes Hwy at Kogarah Park.

Bus route 958 operates between Kogarah and Hurstville via Carss Park. Bus route 476 & 477 run to Gray St, Kogarah which is a short walk to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for a trains to Central for T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line trains to Carlton.

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and the L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central change for a train to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line. 

Due to light rail vehicle repairs, buses are replacing all light rail services on the L1 Dulwich Hill Line between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill until further notice. Traffic is expected to be heavy in both directions on the Princes Hwy approaching Kogarah as crowds travel to and from the stadium. If you have to drive, expect delays, allow extra travel time and plan to arrive early.

Local roads around the stadium will close ahead of match start including Jubilee Avenue, Park Street and English Street. Roads will re-open once crowds have cleared the area.

There is no parking available at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium. There are various car parks within easy walking distance of the stadium:

  • Kogarah Town Square, entry via Derby Street
  • Kogarah Town Centre, entry via ramp from Railway Parade
  • Hospital car park, entry via South Street
  • Kogarah Station commuter car park, entry via Station Street
  • Carlton Station commuter car park, entry via Railway Parade

There is a limited number of accessible parking spots located on Park Street. Patrons are required to display their parking permit in their window at all times. Please visit the stadium website for more details on booking accessible parking spaces.
