Trains run regularly to Wollongong on the South Coast Line, and the venue is only a short walk away.
You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the Wollongong CBD and on local roads around WIN Entertainment Centre as fans travel to and from the match, particularly during the already busy evening peak. Local roads around the venue may close to help crowds move safely around the area. Plan to arrive early and allow extra travel time. Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.

The closest station to WIN Entertainment Centre is Wollongong on the South Coast Line.
The venue is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the station via Burelli Street. Alternatively, you can catch the free Gong Shuttle from Crown Street, which stops near the venue.
Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Friday 21 November on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 3.40pm to 11pm, Inner West trains run between the City and Homebush only, not Parramatta. You may need to change trains to continue your journey
- T9 Northern Line: From 4pm to 7.30pm, some trains between Hornsby, Epping and Central run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency.
- Blue Mountains Line: The 16:54 Central to Katoomba service will not run
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: The 16:47 Central to Newcastle Interchange service will not run.

Regular bus routes stop within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre, including routes 3, 8, 10, 11, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 39, 90 and 92.
A number of regular bus routes make stops along Corrimal Street and Burelli Street to get you within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre.
You can also catch a 'Free Gong Shuttle' (routes 55A and 55C) that operates regularly on weekdays and the weekend. The shuttle runs in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus.
Hours of operation are:
- Weekdays: 7am to 6pm every 10 minutes, 6pm to 10pm every 20 minutes
- Saturdays: 9am to 5.20pm every 20 minutes
- Sundays & Public Holidays: 9.40am to 5.20pm up to 20 minute frequency

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
From Central, change for a South Coast Line train to Wollongong.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly, plan your trip using Trip Planner.
From Central, change for a South Coast Line train to Wollongong.
Planned Maintenance - Saturday 15 to Friday 21 November inclusive
- L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line light rail services will not run between Circular Quay and Town Hall. Use Trains or Metro services instead.
- Services will continue to run between Town Hall and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford.
- Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and catch a train service from Parramatta Station to Redfern or Central where you can connect with South Coast Line services to Wollongong.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.
