Important Travel Advice
With up to 80,000 attendees expected throughout the day, eventgoers are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
The closest stations to Victoria Park are Redfern and Central. The Park is a 15-minute walk from Redfern and a 10-minute walk from Central. Alternatively, plenty of buses make stops on Broadway and City Road nearby. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.

Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Alight at Central to get within walking distance of the event. Alternatively, connect with a bus service travelling towards Bradway.
Additional metro services will run with services operating every 7 minutes from 10am to 7pm

Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Sunday 15 February on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 5.30am to 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 5.30am to 9.40am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park
- T5 Cumberland Line: From 5.30am to 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, and between Richmond or Schofields and Olympic Park. You may need to change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. From 9.40am to 11.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville, and between Schofields and Olympic Park. You may need to change trains at Granville to continue your journey.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: From 5.30am to 11.30am, trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
- South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Central or Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. Buses do not run to the train timetable. If connecting with trains at Wollongong you may need to catch an earlier bus to ensure you meet your train connection

Additional Route 352 services will run from Bondi Junction to Newtown and Marrickville in the morning and afternoon. Additional return services will run back towards Bondi Junction from 2.45pm till 6.45pm

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for a train service to Central or Redfern to get within walking distance of the event.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and catch a train to Redfern or Central to get within walking distance of the event.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Heavy traffic is expected on roads approaching Victoria Park.
If you have to drive, travel with your group and allow extra travel time on roads including Parramatta Road, City Road, Cleveland Street and Glebe Point Road. Check parking signs as clearways will be in place on roads around the Park.

Parking
Limited parking is available around Victoria Park at the Seymour Centre and Broadway Shopping Centre. Check the City of Sydney website for more information.
Special Event Clearways
Special event clearways will be in effect on roads around Victoria Park from 5am to 9.30pm in the following locations:
- City Road between Carillon Avenue and Parramatta Road (western side)
- City Road between Cleveland Street and Butlin Avenue (eastern side)
- Parramatta Road between City Road and University Avenue (southern side)
Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
