Important Travel Advice
With up to 40,000 footy fans expected at the first Swans home game of the season, ticketholders are urged to catch public transport and leave the car at home to avoid significant traffic delays and high demand for parking. Tickets include travel on public transport and extra services will run.
Transport
- Travel on all modes of public transport is included in your ticket to the game, simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services.
- Trains and metro services run regularly to the city where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park. Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby.
- Additional light rail services will run before and after the match. The Moore Park light rail stop is located a short walk across from the SCG.
- Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to avoid the queues for transport services before and after the match. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.
Driving
- If you must drive, expect traffic delays on roads approaching Moore Park as footy fans make their way into the precinct across the day. Carpool with your group and find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
- Parking will be in high demand so plan to arrive early to secure a space. Grass car parks on Driver Avenue will open from 4.30pm and parking is available at the Entertainment Quarter 24 hours a day. Limited parking will also be available at Sydney Boys and Sydney Girls high schools. Flat rate parking fees apply.
- Have a back-up plan in case car parks are full when you arrive. Car parks are expected to reach capacity early. Consider parking at a station near you and continuing your trip to Moore Park on public transport.
Match ticket entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to 2026 Sydney Swans season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket or members card to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to the 2026 Sydney Swans season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.
Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Thursday 5 March on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T1 Western Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains run to a change timetable and may make extra stops at some stations between Seven Hills and Strathfield.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Leppington and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Fairfield and the City, and between Glenfield and the City via the Airport. Inner West trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park or Homebush and the City.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe. Trains run between Lidcombe and the City, to a changed timetable. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
- T5 Cumberland Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Leppington and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Fairfield and Richmond.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: From 9.10pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe.
- Hunter Line: Buses replace the following trains between Muswellbrook and Maitland: 08:14 Newcastle Interchange to Muswellbrook and 10:09 Muswellbrook to Newcastle Interchange. Trains run to the normal timetable between Maitland and Newcastle Interchange.

A number of regular route bus services stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.
After the match, express shuttle buses will also run from Moore Park to Central to provide additional transport capacity for fans.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time, particularly when leaving the stadium. L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Central from Parramatta Station. From Central, catch a L2 or L3 Line service to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Changed traffic conditions
- Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 4.30pm and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area.
- No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas will be maintained from Lang Road. Grass car parks open from 4.30pm.

Moore Park Car Parks
Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space.
- Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road.
- Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park (limited capacity due to upgrade works): Open from 4.30pm. Entry via the northern end of Driver Ave from Moore Park Road.
- Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 4.30pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road.
- Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Car Park open from around 4.30pm. Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the SCG.

Special Event Clearways
Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 3pm to midnight on sections of Albion Street, Moore Park Road and Lang Road, and from 6am to midnight on sections of Fitzroy Street and Cleveland Street.
From 6am to midnight
- Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side)
- Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side)
- Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side)
From 3pm to midnight
- Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides)
- Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side)
- Moore Park Road between Cook Road and Poate Road (southern side)
- Lang Road between Anzac Parade and Errol Flynn Boulevard (northern side)
Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
