Important Travel Advice
Sydney Olympic Park will be very busy on Saturday 21 March with multiple events on in the precinct, including the AFL at ENGIE Stadium and the AFC Women's Asia Cup Final at Stadium Australia. NBL ticketholders are urged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid significant traffic delays and the high demand for parking – extra train services will run.
Transport
- Express and limited-stop trains to Olympic Park and regular services to Lidcombe will run frequently before and after the match. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.
- Metro services will not run on the entire line due to planned weekend trackwork. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only; use trains between Epping or Chatswood and Sydenham.
- You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the NBL. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.
- Please note that Easter Show infrastructure and fencing will be in place on Saturday 21 March. Follow directions and signage in the precinct as walking routes have changed.
Driving
- Parking will sell out in advance. If you need to drive it, is essential that you pre-book parking to guarantee a car space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event. An event flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
- Parking will be in high demand with thousands of football fans also travelling to the precinct for the AFL and the AFC Women’s Asia Cup Final at nearby stadiums.
- P6 car park will be closed due to Easter Show infrastructure.
- If you have pre-booked parking, follow directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. After the match, expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
- If you haven't pre-booked parking do not drive to Olympic Park. You will need to catch public transport as there will be no parking available on-site. You can also consider parking at a nearby commuter car park and continuing your trip by train or bus to Olympic Park.
- Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Olympic Park while multiple events take place in the precinct. Carpool with your group, plan to arrive early and allow extra travel time. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
- If you're getting dropped off or catching rideshare, taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.

Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.

- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes
- T9 Northern Line: Sydney Metro trackwork may affect how you travel.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 5.30am to 10:30am, at Hawkesbury River and Cowan, all trains leave from platform 2. From 7am to 10.30am, trains towards Hornsby do not stop at Cowan. Buses run from Hawkesbury River to Cowan, and from Cowan to Berowra, in that direction only. Change at Hawkesbury River for a bus to Cowan. From Cowan, catch a bus to Berowra then change for a train to continue your journey. Trains towards Gosford continue to stop at Cowan. Sydney Metro trackwork may affect how you travel.

Regular route buses
The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.
Bus Diversions

The closest wharf to Qudos Bank Arena is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to the match in the already busy evening peak. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
Pre-book your parking ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior. To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

Train Station Commuter Parking
A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then catching one of the extra trains to Olympic Park.

- T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Emu Plains, Rooty Hill, St Marys and Penrith.
Stations with large car parks on other train lines that require one interchange by train to get to Olympic Park include:
- T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Leppington and Edmonson Park.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
