NSW TrainLink will temporarily stop services to Victoria
From Wednesday 8 July, NSW temporarily closed its border with Victoria.
Train and coach services operated by NSW TrainLink into and out of Victoria have been stopped from this time.
This includes the NSW TrainLink Melbourne to Sydney XPT service, which now only operates between Albury and Central Station.
From Tuesday 28 July, NSW TrainLink has restarted the below coach services within NSW:
- 725/726 Cootamundra to Mildura operating daily (coach stops located in Mildura and Robinvale remain temporarily suspended)
- 733/734 Wagga Wagga to Echuca operating Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (Starts/Ends at Moama. Echuca remains temporarily suspended)
- 741/742 Albury to Echuca operates Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (Starts / Ends at Moama. Coach stops located in Echuca, Cobram and Yarrawonga remain temporarily suspended)
Coach service 587/588 Broken Hill Town to Mildura remains temporarily suspended.
Transport for NSW is continuing to work closely with NSW Health, NSW Police, industry stakeholders and operational professionals around a number of important issues including freight operations, logistics and maritime.
Special conditions will be in place for freight operations and logistics as well as other critical services. Provisions will also be in place for residents of border regions, including Albury-Wodonga.
The safety of all customers and staff is the number one priority and Transport for NSW will continue to proactively address the evolving situation.
