As L1 light rail services operating hours are increasing, all customers must always follow safe behaviours.

  • Stay alert and be aware of your surroundings.
  • Use designated track crossings and avoid distractions like mobile phone or headsets.
  • If you require assistance to board L1 services, wait in the wheelchair boarding zone on the platform and the driver will deploy the ramp.
  • Mind the gap when boarding or alighting.
  • Wait for others to get off before you board, and stand clear of doors closing.
  • Once onboard, hold on at all times: light rail vehicles might break at short notice to avoid an immediate hazard, even in the dedicated corridor section, or might start anytime after being stationery.
  • If you require assistance to alight L1 services, let the driver know you need them to deploy the ramp by pressing the blue button with an accessible symbol .
  • For urgent assistance, use the Help Points available on all light rail platforms or onboard all light rail vehicles.

Allow extra travel time and plan ahead using the Trip Planner or check travel alerts to see if your travel is affected, or to find alternative transport options.
