L1 Dulwich Hill Line partial closure due to maintenance

From Saturday 1 to Friday 7 November, L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services will not run between Central and Convention due to planned trackwork and maintenance works.

During this time:

  • L1 light rail services will continue to run between Convention and Dulwich Hill.
  • Use alternative transport including regular bus services, L1 replacement bus services, or walking if able to, between Central Grand Concourse and Convention.
  • Due to road closures, L1 replacement buses will only stop at Central Grand Concourse, Convention, and The Star. There will be no replacement buses at the following stops: Capitol Square, Paddy’s Markets, Exhibition Centre, and Pyrmont Bay.

L1 replacement bus services

Daily from 5am to 1am, L1 replacement bus services will stop at Central Grand Concourse, Convention, and The Star with a frequency of 15-20 min. Times may vary depending on road traffic.

Replacement buses will not stop at the following locations:

  • Capitol Square (towards Central and The Star) - Please use the alternative stop at Central Grand Concourse or walk to Central Station (approx. 7 minute walk),
  • Paddy’s Markets (towards Central and The Star) - Please use the alternative stop at Central Grand Concourse or walk to Central Station (approx. 11 minute walk),
  • Exhibition Centre (towards Central and The Star) - Please use the alternative stop at Convention (approx. 7 minute walk).
  • Pyrmont Bay (towards Central and The Star) - Please use the alternative stop at The Star (approx. 5 minute walk).

Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.

Opal readers are located onboard all replacement buses, and you must tap on and tap off. A standard light rail fare applies.

Allow extra travel time and use the Trip Planner or check travel alerts to see if your travel is affected.

L1 light rail services will resume as normal from 5am on Saturday 8 November.
