Trackwork may impact your travel to the City from Friday 31 October to Sunday 2 November

From 10pm Friday 31 October to Sunday 2 November, trackwork and maintenance works will affect some train, light rail and metro services around the City.
 

Sydney Trains trackwork

From 10pm Friday 31 October to Sunday 2 November, trains do not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard.

  • For travel around the City use T4 trains, light rail or local buses.
    L2 and L3 light rail services run between Central and Circular Quay.

T1 North Shore Line

  • From 10pm Friday, trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only. Change at Wynyard for light rail or local buses. More>>

T1 Western Line

  • From 10pm Friday, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-14. Change at Central for T4 trains, light rail or local buses. More>>

T2 Leppington & Inner West Line

  • From 10pm Friday, trains run between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. More>>
     
  • Saturday and Sunday, buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. More>>

T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line

  • From 10pm Friday, trains run between Liverpool and Central, platforms 1-14 only. More>>
     
  • Saturday and Sunday, buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central.
    Trains run between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park.
    Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. More>>

T8 Airport & South Line

  • Saturday and Sunday, most trains run between Macarthur and Sydenham, or between Revesby and Central via the Airport only.
    Change at Sydenham for a T4 train, or at Central for T4 trains, light rail or local buses. More>>

T9 Northern Line

  • From 10pm Friday, trains run between Hornsby and Central only. Change at Central for T4 trains, light rail or local buses. More>>

 

Sydney Metro trackwork

On Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November, metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham.

  • Use replacement bus services between Tallawong and Chatswood, and trains between Chatswood and Sydenham.
  • Trackwork also affects trains in the City. For travel between Chatswood and Sydenham use:
    • T1 trains between Chatswood and Wynyard or T9 trains between Epping and Central
    • T4 trains between Martin Place and Sydenham
    • L2 or L3 light rail services between Wynyard and Central.

Sydney Light Rail trackwork

From Saturday 1 to Friday 7 November, L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services do not run between Central Grand Concourse and Convention.

  • Due to road closures, replacement buses will only stop at Central Grand Concourse, Convention, and The Star.
  • There will be no replacement buses at Capitol Square, Paddy’s Markets, Exhibition Centre, and Pyrmont Bay. Use local buses or walk to Central Grand Concourse or Convention to continue your journey.
  • Light rail services continue to run between Convention and Dulwich Hill.

Saturday and Sunday, daily from 7am to 7pm, extra L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford. More>>
