Planned trackwork on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May

On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May, trackwork may affect how you travel. Plan ahead and allow extra travel time. 

  • Metro services will not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. More>>
  • Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only.
  • For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
     
  • Trackwork on the T9 Northern Line may also affect how you travel. Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield.
     
  • For travel between Chatswood and Sydenham use:
    • T1 trains between Chatswood and the City
    • T4 trains between Martin Place and Sydenham.

T1 North Shore Line

  • Buses replace trains between Berowra and Gordon. More>>
  • Trains run between Gordon and the City, some to a changed timetable.

T2 Leppington & Inner West Line

  • Sunday from 5.30am to 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. More>>
  • Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park.

T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line

  • Sunday from 5.30am to 9.40am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. More>>

T5 Cumberland Line

  • Sunday from 5.30am to 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. More>>
  • Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, and between Richmond or Schofields and Olympic Park.
  • You may need to change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey.
     
  • Sunday from 9.40am to 11.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville, and between Schofields and Olympic Park.
  • You may need to change trains at Granville to continue your journey.

T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line

  • Sunday from 5.30am to 11.30am, trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes. More>>

T9 Northern Line

  • Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield. More>>
  • Trains run to a changed timetable between Strathfield and the City.

 

Blue Mountains Line

  • Trains run to a changed timetable between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. More>>
  • T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith, Blacktown and the City.
  • Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than normal.
  • If you are travelling to Lithgow to connect with NSW TrainLink Regional Coaches call 132 232 to confirm departure times.

Central Coast & Newcastle Line

  • Friday from 11.55pm, buses replace trains from Gosford to Newcastle Interchange, in that direction only. More>>
  • Trains run between Central and Gosford, some to a changed timetable.
     
  • Saturday and Sunday, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Gordon. More>>
  • T1 North Shore Line trains run between Gordon and the City, some to a changed timetable.
     
  • Gosford Station: Station access from Showground Road will be unavailable due to canopy works. Shuttle buses run between Showground Road and Burns Crescent bus interchange during this time.

Hunter Line

  • Friday from 11.55pm, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Telarah, in that direction only.

  • Saturday to Monday, buses replace trains between Scone, Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.

     

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Light Rail

Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 May, L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines will be affected by closures due to planned maintenance. More>>

During this time consider alternative transport including: 

  • Replacement buses or regular bus services between Central Chalmers Street and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford,
    • Trains, buses, or walk if able to, between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street.
