Planned trackwork on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May
On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May, trackwork will affect how you travel, particularly if travelling to the City. Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
- Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. More>>
- Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only.
- For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern.
- Trackwork also affects trains in the City. For travel between Epping or Chatswood and Sydenham use:
- T9 trains between Epping and Central or T1 trains between Chatswood and Wynyard
- L2 or L3 light rail services between Wynyard and Central
- T4 trains between Martin Place and Sydenham.
City Circle
- Trains do not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard. More>>
- For travel around the City use T4 trains, light rail or local buses.
- L2 and L3 light rail services run between Central and Circular Quay.
- Trackwork also affects trains on other lines.
T1 North Shore Line
- Trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only, to a changed timetable. More>>
- Trains do not run between Wynyard and Central, or on the City Circle. Change at Wynyard for light rail or local buses to continue your journey.
T1 Western Line
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between:
- Richmond and Liverpool. Change at Parramatta for trains towards Central
- Penrith and Central, platforms 1-14 only, making extra stops at Homebush, Flemington and Burwood. More>>
- Saturday from 8.45pm to 2.30am, buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Central.
- Penrith trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and Olympic Park.
- Rail replacement buses do not leave from Lidcombe.
T2 Leppington & Inner West Line
- Buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains run between Strathfield and Central. More>>
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville and between Leppington and Lidcombe via Regents Park only.
- Change at Lidcombe for trains towards Central or T1 Western Line stations.
- Saturday from 8.45pm to 2.30am, buses replace all trains between Olympic Park and Central.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park.
- Rail replacement buses do not leave from Lidcombe.
T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line

T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line

- Sunday from 1pm to 4pm, trains do not stop at Wolli Creek but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.
- Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.
- Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek or change at Central for a T8 Airport train if you have luggage or accessibility needs.
T5 Cumberland Line
- Early morning and late-night trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Liverpool only. Change at Liverpool to continue your journey. More>>

T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line
- Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes. More>>
T7 Olympic Park Line
- Saturday from 8.45pm to 2.30am, trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, continuing to Penrith or Leppington. More>>
T8 Airport & South Line
- Most trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur and Sydenham, or between Revesby and Central via the Airport. More>>

- Sydenham for T4 trains towards Bondi Junction.
T9 Northern Line
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-14 only. More>>

Blue Mountains Line

At Hawkesbury River and Cowan, trains may leave from different platforms. If travelling to Cowan you may need to change at Hawkesbury River for a bus
- Saturday from 5.30am to 10.30am, at Hawkesbury River and Cowan, all trains leave from platform 2. More>>
- Saturday from 7am to 10.30am, trains towards Hornsby do not stop at Cowan.
- Buses run from Hawkesbury River to Berowra, in that direction only.
- Change at Hawkesbury River for a bus to Cowan.
- At Cowan, catch a bus to Berowra then change for a train to continue your journey.
- Trains towards Gosford continue to stop at Cowan.

- Sunday from 1pm to 4pm, trains do not stop at Wolli Creek but make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham.

- Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek, or change at Central for a T8 Airport train if you have luggage or accessibility needs.
On Saturday 9 to Sunday 10 May, L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines will be impacted by closures due to planned trackwork and maintenance works.
