With more than 30,000 footy fans expected, ticketholders are urged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options.
Travel on public transport to and from Moore Park is included in your ticket to the game so leave the car at home as parking will be in high demand.
Trains run regularly to the city where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park from the city or south east. The Moore Park light rail stop is a short walk across from the SCG. Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby.
Please note, light rail services may be busier than usual as visitors attend Vivid Sydney precincts around Circular Quay and Central, so allow extra travel time.

If you have to drive, expect delays on roads approaching the precinct and plan to arrive early as traffic will be heavy during the busy Friday evening peak and the first night of Vivid Sydney. Parking is available near the SCG at the Entertainment Quarter car park, grass car parks on Driver Avenue from Lang Road and Sydney Boys & Girls High car park off Cleveland Street.
Valid pre-purchased tickets to Sydney Swans 2023 season home games at the Sydney Cricket Ground includes travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney Metro North West services
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services
- Sydney Light Rail services
- Sydney Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.
Metro services start from the early morning running every 10 minutes until late. Change at Epping to connect with trains to Central, then change for a light rail service to Moore Park.

The closest stations to the SCG are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Bondi Junction catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.
Trackwork
Weeknight trackwork is taking place on Thursday 8 June on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner:
- Blue Mountains Line: From 9:30pm to 3:40am, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Springwood. From 9.40pm to 3am, buses replace trains from Springwood to Lithgow.

A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339 and 374. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road which is within short walking distance of the stadium.

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for a light rail service to Moore Park on the L2 and L3 lines.
Keep in mind that ferries will be busier than usual during Vivid Sydney from Friday 26 May until Saturday 17 June. Light rail services may also be busier than usual, so allow extra time and plan ahead.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line
L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Fridays. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
From Central change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using Trip Planner.
Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground.

If you’re driving, travel with your group and allow extra time as traffic will be heavier than usual during the busy evening peak. Fans are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid the traffic delays.
Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 4:20pm and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area. No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop off areas maintained from Lang Road.
To support the Moore Park Road pop up cycleway, there is no left-turn permitted from Lang Road onto Moore Park Road westbound. Motorists can use Cook Road for access onto Moore Park Road instead.

Moore Park Car Parks
Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group if you have to drive and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space.
Parking will be available at the following car parks near the stadium:
- Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road.
- Kippax Park (EP2) grass car park: Car park open from 4:10pm. Entry via northern end of Driver Avenue from Moore Park Road.
- Showground Field (EP3) grass car park (cashless, flat rate parking fees apply): Car park open from 4:10pm. Entry via the southern end of Driver Avenue, from Lang Road.
- Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School (parking fees apply): Car park open from around 4:10pm. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the SCG.

Special Event Clearways
Special event clearways will be in effect on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 3pm to 11pm on sections of Lang Road, Fitzroy Street, Moore Park Road, Albion Street, Cleveland Street, Flinders Street and Foveaux Street.
Clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and TfNSW Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. If you have a ticket to an event that includes free Park&Ride parking, use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator. If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.
