Match ticket entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to the T20 International Australia v Pakistan game at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding: 

• Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations) 
• Sydney Metro services 
• Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses 
• Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services 
• Sydney and Newcastle Ferries 

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your Show ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.  

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks 

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services. 

Tickets to the T20 Men’s cricket at the Sydney Cricket Ground include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. 

Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night. 

Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park from Chalmers Street.

The closest stations to the SCG are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central change for light rail replacement buses to get to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way. 

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium. 

Trackwork

Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Saturday 16 November on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner:  

• City Circle Line: Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum. Some trains start or end at Central, run to a changed timetable or leave from different platforms. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. The light rail runs in both directions between Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central. 
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur, Glenfield and the City via Granville, and between Campbelltown, Glenfield and Central via Regents Park. Buses also replace T8 Airport & South Line trains between Glenfield and Central via the Airport. 
• T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Most trains run between Schofields and Liverpool, to the normal timetable. 
• T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham, and between Sydenham and Central via the Airport. Trains run to a changed timetable between; Macarthur and the City via Granville, Campbelltown and Central and Sydenham and the City Circle.  
• Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria. Trains run between Mount Victoria and Central, some to a changed timetable. Bathurst trains run between Bathurst and Lithgow or Central, to a changed timetable. Some early morning and late-night services will run between Bathurst and Mount Victoria. From 9.40am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Mount Victoria and Springwood. 

Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.   

Keep in mind that buses and light rail services will be busy. Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to minimise wait times for transport services. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line 

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.   

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines 

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground. 

Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time, particularly when leaving the stadium. Consider walking instead, see our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

If you have to drive, carpool with your group and allow extra travel time as traffic will be heavy while fans travel to the match. Fans are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid traffic delays. 

Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 4:30pm and will reopen once crowds have safely cleared the area. No through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue, however access to EP2 Kippax car park will be maintained via Moore Park Road and access to EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas maintained from Lang Road.

If you’re using rideshare to get to the game, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue for drop off locations. After the game, there may be restrictions on rideshare pick up locations due to heavy traffic in the area. You’ll need to select a pick-up location away from the stadium.

Moore Park Car Parks 

Parking will be in high demand and will fill quickly. Carpool with your group and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space. 

• Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road. 
• Kippax Lake (EP2) grass car park: Open from 4pm, entry on Driver Ave from Moore Park Rd 
• Showground Field (EP3) grass car park: Open from 4pm, Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry on Driver Avenue via Lang Road. 
• Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School: Car Park open, Cashless, flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Cleveland Street. Use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to get to and from the SCG.

Special Event Clearways  

Special event clearways will be in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas from 3pm to 11pm on sections of Albion Street, Fitzroy Street and Moore Park Road, and from 6am to 11pm on Cleveland Street.  

From 6am to 11pm 

• Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side) 
• Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side) 

From 3pm to 11pm 

• Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides) 
• Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side) 
• Moore Park Road between Flinders Street and Greens Road (northern side) 
• Moore Park Rd between Cook Road and Poate Road (southern side)

Clearways are strict no-parking zones and also apply to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs before parking as vehicles left in special event clearways will be towed and a towing fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 132 701 to speak to an operator.
