Important Travel Advice

With up to 25,000 cricket fans expected, ticketholders are urged to plan their trip and catch public transport.

  • Travel on transport is included in your match ticket. Leave the car at home to avoid weeknight peak traffic delays and the high demand for parking.
  • Trains and Metro run regularly to the City where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park light rail stop is located a short walk across from the SCG. Extra light rail services will run before and after the game. Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby.
  • Be aware trackwork in the city is taking place from 10pm and may change how you travel home:
    • From 10pm Friday, trains will not run on the City Circle or between Central and Wynyard. Change at Central for metro services to the north or stay on the light rail from Moore Park and get off at Wynyard to connect with North Shore trains home. Buses also replace Inner West Line trains between Ashfield and Central, catch express trains to Strathfield from Central, or replacement buses if you are travelling to stations between Summer Hill and Macdonaldtown.
    • See the trackwork news page for more details.
  • Make a night of it and arrive early, there's plenty of local venues to enjoy pre and post match. Consider walking from Central to Moore Park via Devonshire or Foveaux Streets if queues for transport are long. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 677KB) to find your way.
  • If you need to drive or are catching rideshare/taxis, plan to arrive earlier than usual as parking will fill quickly, carpool with your group and allow plenty of extra travel time as heavy traffic is expected during the already busy evening peak. Visit livetraffic.com for real-time traffic updates.
  • Parking is available near the SCG at the Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park, grass car park on Driver Avenue, and Sydney Boys & Girls High School car park off Cleveland Street. A flat rate event parking fee will apply.
