Important Travel Advice

With thousands of fans expected, ticketholders are urged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid getting caught in traffic delays. The precinct will be particularly busy on Sunday with thousands of attendees also travelling to neighbouring Qudos Bank Arena for a concert.

  • Travel on all modes of public transport is included in your match ticket, simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services.
  • Express trains will run frequently from Central to Olympic Park, with frequent return services after the game. Trains will also run regularly between Lidcombe and Olympic Park. From Olympic Park station, the stadium is a short 10-minute walk away.
  • Note that Major Event Buses will not run for this match.

If you have no other option but to drive, you must have pre-booked parking:

  • Parking will sell out in advance, so it is essential that you pre-book parking online to guarantee a car space if you need to drive. An event flat rate $35 parking fee will apply. 
    • Please also note that the P6 car park will be closed due to Easter Show infrastructure.
    • If you have pre-booked follow directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. After the game, traffic will be very heavy as everyone leaves at the same time. Expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
    • If you haven't pre-booked parking do not drive to Olympic Park. You will need to catch public transport as there will be no parking available on-site. You can also consider parking at a nearby commuter car park and continuing your trip by train or bus to Olympic Park, at no extra cost.

  • If you're getting dropped off or catching rideshare, taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue.

Arrive early to enjoy the pre-event atmosphere in the precinct. Local cafes and restaurants will be open, and Fig Grove opposite the stadium will be a hub of food-trucks and entertainment. Some venues will operate extended trading hours if you want to avoid queues of crowds leaving the precinct after the match.

Ticket entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to AFC Women’s Asian Cup games at Stadium Australia include travel to and from Sydney Olympic Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding::  

  • Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations) * International and Domestic Airport Station access fee not included. 
  • Sydney Metro services
  • Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses  
  • Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services 
  • Sydney and Newcastle Ferries 

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on public transport until 4am the following day.  

* Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements. 

The Station Access Fee is payable separately at the ticket window when at the station where staff can take payment for just the access fee then guide you through the exit gate once paid. 

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.

Tickets to AFC Women’s Asian Cup games at Stadium Australia include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late. 

Change at Central to connect with express trains running to Olympic Park.

Travel on metro is included in your match ticket – simply show your ticket to staff when boarding services. At Metro stations, a dedicated opal gate will remain open for match ticketholders to access the station.

The closest station to Accor Stadium is Olympic Park. From the station, it’s a short 10-minute walk via Olympic Boulevarde to the stadium. 

The express and limited-stop trains will run to help you get to and from the match. Timetable information will be available closer to the event.

Regular route buses

Note that Major Event Buses will not run for this match.

The following Sydney bus services run to Olympic Park: 

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington. 
  • Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.  
  • Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde. 

Shuttle buses also run between car parks in Olympic Park and the stadium, visit the website for more information.

Bus Diversions

Route 525, 526 and 533 services will divert while and miss stops while road closures are in place. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

The closest wharf to Stadium Australia is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

F3 Parramatta River ferries may be affected by low tide between Parramatta and Rydalmere and replaced by buses. Check for updates here.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner

Alight at Parramatta Square or Westmead to connect with trains to Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

Road Closures

If you're getting dropped off/picked up or catching rideshare and taxis:

  • Taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue at Park Street.
  • Remember that roads will be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the area before and after the match. 
  • After the match, demand for taxis and rideshare will be high and prices are likely to be surging. Avoid the traffic delays while roads are closed by considering catching a train or bus outside of the precinct to connect with your ride faster.
  • An accessible pick-up and drop-off area will be located at the corner of Dawn Fraser Avenue and Edwin Flack Boulevard.

Sydney Olympic Park Car Parks

  • The closest car park to the stadium is P1, however most other car parks are within walking distance of the stadium.  
  • Please also note that the P6 car park will be closed due to Easter Show infrastructure.

Train Station Commuter Parking

A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then catching one of the extra trains to Olympic Park.

Stations with large car parks on the western line where you can change for a frequent direct train to Olympic Park include:

  • T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Emu Plains, Rooty Hill, St Marys and Penrith.

Stations with large car parks on other train lines that require one interchange by train to get to Olympic Park include:

  • T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Leppington and Edmonson Park. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
