Bus service changes from Sunday 5 December

From 5 December, routes and timetables for buses that run through Sydney’s Eastern and South Eastern Suburbs will change to bring you more frequent services, better connections with light rail and trains, and a more integrated transport network.

This will also be supported by changes to some Inner West bus services which operate in the same area.

These changes include more high frequent services throughout the week to improve access to bus services across the south east. That means more choice and flexibility around when you travel.

Key benefits of these bus changes include:

  • improved all day service frequencies, enhanced peak express services, more reliable timetables and increased capacity to help support demand
  • improved access to key destinations such as Bondi Junction, Randwick, Maroubra, Mascot and Green Square with enhanced links helping cross-suburban journeys without needing to go via the Sydney CBD
  • improving connections with other modes such as light rail and train as part of an integrated public transport network
  • 11 all-day frequent network routes operating every 10 minutes or better during the day and every 20 minutes or better early morning and evening, seven days a week
  • increased coverage of overnight services in the area operating seven days a week

These changes are designed to offer more choice around when and how you travel between home, work, school, uni, and local shops and health services, providing better access to Bondi Junction, Randwick, Maroubra, Mascot and Green Square, and to other suburban areas without having to travel via the city.

To bring you more services where they’re needed most and remove duplication, some routes have been modified or will no longer operate, and most services have new timetables.

Changes may impact school students who rely on regular bus services.

Use the Trip Planner or download a real-time transport app to help plan your travel.

For details of changes, look for your bus route in the following tables.
