Changes to Bega Valley bus services from 12 May 2025

Improvements are being introduced to bus services in the Bega Valley area from 12 May 2025, which may change how you travel. 

Improvements to Sapphire Coast Buslines services required changes to some timetables and routes.  

Starting Monday 12 May: 

  • Improved school bus services for Mirador and Tura Beach students attending Bega schools.
  • More bus services on routes 890 and 891 servicing Bega, Eden, Pambula, Merimbula, Tura Beach and Wolumla. 
  • wheelchair-accessible bus on every regular route service.
  • Reduced gaps between services.
  • More bus services during school holidays.
  • Simpler bus timetables to provide greater clarity to passengers, particularly for travel to the South East Regional Hospital.

Changes by route  

Route number Route Changes
892  Merimbula to Pambula Beach via Pambula 
  • Route withdrawn, customers to take 890/891 services instead. 
890  Bega to Eden via Kalaru & Tura Beach 
  • Timetables have changed. Check timetables for up-to-date information. 
891  Bega to Eden via Kalaru & Tura Beach 
  • Timetables have changed. Check timetables for up-to-date information. 
885  Tathra to Kalaru 
  • Some 885 services will commence and terminate at Kalaru.
  • Passengers travelling between Tathra and Bega may need to transfer to and from route 891 at Kalaru.
  • Visit transportnsw.info/trip to plan your journey. 
886  Tathra to Kalaru 
  • Route 886 services will commence and terminate at Kalaru.
  • Passengers travelling between Tathra and Merimbula will need to transfer to and from route 891 at Kalaru.
