Public transport changes around Bridge Road, Westmead

From 8pm Friday 21 February to 4am Monday 24 February, route 705 services will change between Parramatta and Blacktown due to works for the Westmead Bridge Road Upgrade.

Bridge Road will be closed to all traffic between Alexandra Avenue and just south of Byrne Street.  As a result, the 705 will not be able to service a number of bus stops in the area. Refer to the map below for alternative public transport options.

  • Mayflower Village, Darcy Rd (214521)
  • Westmead Private Hospital (2145181)
  • Darcy Rd after Hawkesbury Rd (214518)
  • Parramatta Marist High School (214519)
  • Darcy Rd opposite Mayflower Village (2145518)
  • Bridge Rd opposite Seventh Day Adventist (2145386)
  • Bridge Rd opposite Wentworth Ave (2145542)
  • Westmead Hospital North West T-way (2145559)
  • Bridge Rd after Wentworth Ave (2145548)

Getting to Parramatta and Blacktown

A temporary shuttle bus will be the best way to travel between bus stops on Bridge Road, Darcy Road and Westmead train station. There will also be two additional temporary shuttle bus stops outside 58 Alexandra Avenue and 142-148 Bridge Road. You may need to walk to a temporary shuttle bus stop or catch an alternative service to complete your journey.
