Sydney light rail trackwork in April

From 12.30am Saturday 27 to 6am Monday 29 April, buses will replace light rail services, to allow for essential construction work to take place on the future CBD & South East Light Rail.

Daily between 6am to 11pm:

  • Light rail services will continue running between Convention and Dulwich Hill, as per normal frequency
  • Buses will run between Central and The Star in both direction past Convention, on a 5 minute frequency between 06:00 and 20:00, and on a 10 minute frequency between 20:00 and 23:00

Overnight, between 11pm and 6am:

  • Buses will replace light rail between Central and The Star in both directions on a 30 minute frequency
  • Light rail services will not run at all

Please follow the yellow directional signs to the nearby replacement bus stop locations:

  • Central (towards The Star) – Central Station Coach Terminal, Western Forecourt Bay 8 and 9
  • Paddy’s Markets (both directions) – corner of Hay St and Darling Dr
  • Exhibition Centre (towards Central) – Darling Dr
  • Convention (both directions) – Darling Dr
  • The Star (both directions) – Pirrama Rd

Buses will not stop at the following locations:

  • Capitol Square (both directions) – Please use the alternative stop at Central (approx. 6 minute walk)
  • Exhibition Centre (towards The Star) – Please use the alternative stop at Convention (approx. 6 minute)
  • Pyrmont Bay (both directions) – Please use the alternative stop at The Star (approx. 5 minute walk)

Light Rail services will resume as per normal schedule at 6am on Monday 29 April.
