L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line weeknight full closures due to maintenance
From Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 March, nightly from 9pm to 1am, L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services will be impacted by closures due to planned trackwork and maintenance works.
During this time, use alternative transport including L4 replacement bus services, regular bus services or walking if able to between Westmead and Carlingford.
L4 replacement bus services:
Nightly from 9pm to 1am, replacement bus services will run between Westmead and Carlingford as follows:
- From 9pm to 11pm: every 12 to 17 min
- From 11pm to 1am: every 16 to 21 min.
These times may vary depending on road traffic.
There are two bus replacement services routes options:
- Westmead to Carlingford bus replacement route
On this route, replacement buses will not stop at the following locations:
- Westmead Hospital – Please use the alternative stop at Westmead or Children’s Hospital (approx. 9 minute walk and 4 minute walk)
- Ngara
- Benaud Oval
- Fennell Street
- Prince Alfred Square
- Church Street
- Rosehill Gardens – Please use the alternative stop at Tramway Avenue (approx. 8 minute walk)
Use Parramatta Square to North Parramatta loop replacement bus services for stops between Parramatta Square and Ngara.
- Parramatta Square to North Parramatta bus replacement Loop.
This route will only service the following stops: Ngara, Benaud Oval, Fennell Street, Prince Alfred Square, Church Street, and Parramatta Square.
Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.
Opal readers are located onboard all replacement buses, and you must tap on and tap off. A standard light rail fare applies.

L4 light rail services between Westmead and Carlingford will resume as normal, daily from 5am to 9pm on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 March, and from 5am Thursday 13 March.
This replacement bus route does not stop at:

- Benaud Oval
- Fennell Street
- Prince Alfred Square
- Church Street
- Rosehill Gardens
