Bus changes across Sydney

From Sunday 2 December bus routes across Sydney will change to provide greater travel options. The changes will affect Sydney’s Inner West, Northern Beaches and Pittwater, South-eastern suburbs, Miranda, Menai, Bankstown, Revesby, East Hills and Upper North Shore areas.

Bus service and route changes from 2 December 2018

Route

Changes

305 - Stamford Hotel to Central Railway Square

  • Route 305 will be changed to run between Redfern Station and Mascot only. Services will no longer run to or from Railway Square
  • Service frequency will be changed to every 30 minutes

308 - Marrickville Metro to City Gresham St via Redfern

  • Route 308 will be changed to run as a loop service between Marrickville Metro and Central, starting and ending at Pitt Street (between Hay Street and Eddy Avenue)
  • Services will no longer run beyond Central Station to Gresham Street or end at Redfern Station
  • Services will run from Marrickville Metro later on weeknights
  • Departure times will be adjusted to provide more regular services

401 - Lidcombe to Sydney Olympic Park

  • Route 401 will be changed to run as a loop service during weekday peak hours only between Lidcombe and Carter Street.
  • Route 401 will no longer run to Sydney Olympic Park Station, instead terminating at Carter Street.
  • Inner West On Demand services will complement route 401 between Lidcombe and Newington

412 - Campsie to City Martin Place via Earlwood

  • 90 additional weekly services
  • Route 412 off-peak service frequency will be increased on weekdays, as well as additional service frequency departing the City during early evenings.

420 - Eastgardens to Burwood via Sydney Airport & Rockdale

  • 10 additional weekly services
  • Minor timetable adjustments to provide additional early morning trips 7 days per week between Rockdale and Sydney Airport International Terminal

431 - Glebe Point to City Martin Place

  • Off-peak service frequency will be reduced to every 15 minutes on weekdays.
  • Additional services will run on route 433

433 - Balmain Gladstone Park to Central Pitt St

  • 85 additional weekly services
  • Route 433 off-peak and early evening service frequency will be increased to every 15 minutes on weekdays
  • Early morning services on weekdays and Saturdays will start at Gladstone Park instead of Balmain East Wharf

436 - Chiswick to Central Pitt St

  • Route 436 will run to and from Rodd Point full time, with limited weekday morning peak services to the City commencing from Chiswick, and afternoon peak services from the City to Chiswick. The terminus for route 436 in Chiswick will also be changed to Parkview Road. If you are travelling between Chiswick and Haberfield, Leichhardt or Parramatta Road outside of peak times use routes 504 and 438.

438 - Abbotsford to City Martin Place

  • 20 additional weekly services
  • Increased service frequency to every 15 minutes to the city during weekday afternoons and early evenings
  • Timetable adjustments on weekdays

439 - Mortlake to City Martin Place

  • One additional afternoon service each weekday
  • Timetable adjustments on weekdays

441 - Birchgrove to City Art Gallery via QVB

  • Service frequency will be reduced during weekday off-peak times and daytime on weekends to every 35 minutes.
  • Route 442 will provide additional services

442 - Balmain East Wharf to City QVB

  • Route 442 service frequency will be increased to provide a ‘turn-up-and-go’ service, with buses running every 10 minutes during the day Mondays to Saturdays, and every 15 minutes on Sundays

444 - Balmain East Wharf to Campsie

  • Route 444 services will no longer run
  • Services will instead be provided by route 445

445 - Campsie to Balmain East Wharf via Leichhardt Marketplace

  • Route 445 will be changed to run between Campsie and Balmain (Gladstone Park) via Marketplace Leichhardt and run 7 days and nights per week
  • Route 445 service frequency will also be changed to run every 15 minutes during weekday off-peak times
  • The route will change and services will no longer run to Balmain East Wharf or via Lilyfield light rail stop
  • Services between Lilyfield light rail stop and Marketplace Leichhardt will be provided by new route 447

447 - Lilyfield to Marketplace Leichhardt

  • New route 447 will run between Lilyfield and Marketplace Leichhardt, 7 days a week
  • Services will run every 60 minutes during weekday off-peak times and weekends
  • Replaces existing route 445 services between Lilyfield and Marketplace Leichhardt

460 - Five Dock to Concord Hospital via Canada Bay

  • Route 460 services will no longer run
  • Services to Five Dock, Concord Hospital and Rhodes will instead be provided by an expansion of the Inner West On Demand service
  • Alternatively you can use route 439 from Five Dock to Concord shops, and transfer to route M41 for travel to Concord Hospital

461 - Burwood to City Domain

  • Additional weekday morning services will be introduced

466 - Ashfield to Cabarita Park

  • One additional weeknight service will be introduced on route 466 to connect with ferry services at Cabarita wharf

504 - Chiswick to City Domain

  • 45 additional weekly services
  • Additional services will run on weekdays and early evenings outside of peak times

X25 - Sydney Olympic Park to Strathfield

  • Route X25 services will no longer run
  • Alternative services will be available on route 525 and 526

407 - Burwood to Strathfield

  • Minor timetable changes

408 - Rookwood Cemetery to Burwood via Flemington

  • Minor timetable changes

413 - Campsie to City Martin Place

  • Minor timetable changes

E88 - PrePay Only - North Avalon Beach to City Wynyard (Express Service)

  • Additional morning shoulder peak and early evening services will be introduced on route E88

L90 - Palm Beach to City Wynyard (Limited Stops)

  • Over 25 additional weekly services
  • Additional afternoon shoulder peak and evening services on weekdays.
  • One additional late night trip on Saturdays

961 - Barden Ridge to Miranda

  • Minor timetable adjustments
  • Route 961 will no longer run between Miranda and Cronulla on Sundays. Alternative services are available on route 971 or frequent train services on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

962 - Bankstown to Miranda

  • The route will change to run between Miranda and East Hills via Sutherland, Menai, Illawong, Padstow and Revesby. Services will no longer run to or from Bankstown.
  • Route 962 will provide a new, direct link from Menai and Illawong to Revesby and Western Sydney University Milperra campus, and additional connections with T8 South and Airport Line trains at Revesby and East Hills.
  • Route 962 will no longer run between Miranda and Cronulla on weekends. Alternative services are available on route 971 or frequent train services at Miranda on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line.
  • The last weekday trip from Bankstown to Padstow and Menai will run approximately 30 minutes earlier

M92 - Sutherland to Parramatta

  • One existing evening trip from Parramatta to Bankstown will be extended to Menai (corner of Old Illawarra Rd and Bradman Rd)

963 - Alfords Point to Menai

  • One additional morning trip on weekdays

560 - Gordon to West Pymble (Loop Service)

  • 30 additional weekly services
  • Weekday off-peak service frequency will be changed from 60 minutes to 30 minutes

572 - Turramurra to Macquarie University via South Turramura & West Pymble

  • Changes to late night services on route 572 on weeknights. The last services from Macquarie Park and Turramurra will now depart at 9pm
  • Saturday daytime frequency changed from 30 minutes to 60 minutes

573 - Turramurra to Sydney Adventist Hospital via Fox Valley Rd (Loop Service)

  • Almost 20 additional weekly services
  • Additional afternoon shoulder peak and evening services on weekdays
  • Later services on weekdays and Saturdays

575 - Hornsby to Macquarie University via Turramurra

  • Minor timetable adjustment

577 - Turramurra to North Turramurra (Loop Service)

  • Over 10 additional weekly services
  • More frequent early evening services on weekdays
  • Earlier and later services on Saturdays

587 - Hornsby to Westleigh (Loop Service)

  • Minor timetable adjustment

588 - Hornsby to Normanhurst West (Loop Service)

  • Minor timetable adjustment

591 - Hornsby to St Ives

  • New route 591 will run between Hornsby and St Ives on weekdays, running every 60 minutes
  • New route 591 will replace route 594H between Hornsby and St Ives

594H - Hornsby to City QVB

  • Route 594H services will no longer run
  • There are no changes to Route 594 (North Turramurra to City)
  • Alternative travel options between Hornsby and Bobbin Head Road to or from the City include using route 575 and connecting with T1 North Shore Line trains at Turramurra or Hornsby or using new route 591 and connecting with route 194 at St Ives.

595 - Hornsby to Mt Colah (Loop Service)

  • 1 later service on weeknights
  • Earlier and later services on Saturdays

596 - Hornsby to Hornsby Heights (Loop Service)

  • Over 20 additional weekly services
  • Earlier and later services on Saturdays, with services running from around 6.30am to 10pm
  • Saturday service frequency increased from 45 minutes to 30 minutes

598 - Hornsby to Asquith (Loop Service)

  • 1 additional afternoon shoulder peak service on weekdays
  • 1 later service on weeknights
